"You keep telling yourself that," Kasumi says. "And here I was, looking up to you for all these years."

Blade dodged the attacks backing away

"Yes, looking up at the top. Seeking to take my place." Delilah said "Well if you want it so bad then take it from me, if you can."

"What, and inherit your pack of flunkies? No thanks," Kasumi says, looking around at the others.

"Just words" Delilah said drawing a sword "Now come, you and me will finish this."

Kasumi sheathes her blade and looks to Batman. "Nah," she says. "I get it now. You're not worth the effort, let alone the attention."

"Then you die the coward I always knew you to be" Delilah said throwing a stilleto into her back

Kasumi side steps and grabs the knife as it passes her. "Says the woman literally attempting to stab me in the back," she says. "Fine." Then she abruptly turns around and throws it back, along with several shuriken.

Delilah dodges them as she comes at Kasumi "We are assassins, why does something like that suprise you?"

"This isn't a sanctioned killing," Kasumi says as she slips backwards and parries with one of her swords. "You just decided you wanted me dead. And I'm someone fully capable of defending herself. An assassin would relish that opportunity. Huh, funny, Crimsy and Psycho, your own personal DOGS are better assassins than you." The she forces her back.

Batman watches Delilah get pushed back and moves in, ready to fight her off with Kasumi. "Leave it. You're not getting anything out of this."

"I have only just begun" Delilah says moving aside letting Kasumi's momentum carry her to the ground. She turns to Batman with a smile "Stay back my beloved, this does not concern you."

Batman takes hold of Delilah's wrist before she can strike with whatever she's got. "This does concern me. A great deal."

Kasumi rolls to a stop and looks over her shoulder at Delilah and Batman.

Delilah pulls her wrist from him "If you wish to 'play' we can do so after I've vanquished the usurper." She turned back to Kasumi

(You know, without killing Delilah seems the best way to get her to leave Kasumi alone is if Batman were to make such a request.)


Blade switched partners with Saiko slashing Nightengale leaving a cut in her costume.

(Perhaps Delilah would see it as a favour to collect in the future.)

"Leave her be... for me.", Batman says with a small hint of struggle in his voice.

"For you?" Delilah says arching an eyebrow "are you sure? She will probably just continue to try and kill you. Why not let me finish her now and save you the hassle of dealing with her in the future?"

"Perhaps because she's my responsibility.", Batman tells her before pausing. "See it as a favour."

Delilah stood for a moment thinking "Very well, for you I will let her live but if she interferes with our affairs or steals our business not even you will be able to save her." She looked over at Nightwing who stood at a standstill with Saiko "You though are forever marked."

"I appreciate it.", Batman says to Delilah.

"I know" Delilah smiled signaling the rest of the League to disappear. "Till next time my dear"

Batman watches Delilah and her league disappear before turning to Nightwing and the others. "So you have history with them?"

Kasumi glances to Batman, then to Nightwing and leaves in a blur.

"Yeah, I've already told everyone." Nightwing said.

"Then it passed by me.", Batman says and glances to his side. "And whose she?"

"Nightingale." She said.

"My sister." Nightwing said.
