DC Universe- 2100

Superman stood up from the water, eyes bright red now. He was angry.

"Crap," Angelica says. She reaches out to Manhunter mentally. Manhunter, Wonder Woman, this isn't working. We've got to get out of here. I can have Doctor Mid-Nite teleport us to the safe bunker. Superman won't be able to find it, at least not for a while. Batman and Black Bat need medical attention...BAD.

Manhunter breathes heavily and stares back at Superman, waiting before answering Angelica back. "Derek was right. You're not Superman. You're not Cole, either."

Do it, Angelica.

"Doc, it's Bat-Girl. Five to the bunker," she says.

"Certainly," Doctor Mid-Side says, activating the teleported in the hidden bunker to extract Martian Manhunter, Batman, Wonder Woman, Bat-Girl, and Black-Bat.

Superman feigned right and went left flying at Manhunter and grabbing him flying the two of them back into the hillside and into the Batcave before punching at Manhunter who vanished as he teleported with the other

Manhunter fell down onto one knee as soon as they were all teleported into the bunker. He got up and stumbled a bit before heading over to help Angelica with moving Lorie and Derek.

The Cave meanwhile began to shake as the control panels, vehicles and everything started to explode.

"Everyone who needs medical attention, report to Doctor Mid-Nite," Bat-Girl says, proceeding away.

"And you?" Wonder Woman asks.

"We have the president.  No one else knows that and we can't afford letting anyone else know.  He's officially MIA.  Which means Superman is going to make his move for power, and soon.  I plan on working out a Plan B...and C and D.  I'll go down the whole damned alphabet if I have to. Hell, I'll get into alphanumeric pairings!  My brother and sister are injured.  Get them to the med bay. Now," Bat-Girl says, turning back around and walking off into the bunker.

Superman looked around and roared in anger before flying up through the cave and back into the sky, heading to New York.

Manhunter leaves the med bay a while later after getting Lorie and Derek situated. He heads off to find Angelica.

Bat-Girl stands in the bunker's monitor room, staring at the big screen with her arms crossed. She glances over her shoulder when Manhunter enters. "How are they?"

"Nightwing to Doctor Mid-Nite, beam me and Nightingale up." Nightwing said over the comms

Doctor Mid-Nite beams Nightwing and Nightingale to the underground bunker where the Justice League and other heroes are safeguarding the president.

"What happened out there?" Morningstar asked

"Batman's plan didn't work," Angelica says as she stares at the screen. "Superman's in New York."

Nightwing walked into the room. "How is everyone? Heard it didn't go very well."

"Batman took a bad hit, and Black Bat isn't waking up," Wonder Woman says. "Bat-Girl fears that her brother may be indefinitely disabled. And her sister...well, I understand Black Bat has...psychological problems. Bat-Girl is ignoring anyone that isn't trying to talk to her about a plan to deal with this problem. She's completely absorbed."

"What is the plan?" Amazon asked

Nightwing clenched his fist. "I'm going to see Batman, then we'll talk about a plan." He said walking to the med bay with Nightingale

"I'll join you" Star said following them

Nightwing and Nightingale walked into the medical center and over to Derek.

Doctor Mid-Nite stands in the med bay, looking over the two bats, currently observing Lorie's cognitive function. "Nightwing. Nightingale," he says with a nod, looking back over his clipboard.

"Stable for now. Derek is awake but Lorie is still unconscious.", Manhunter informs Angelica. "And you?"


Derek stares off to the side into nothingness as he lies in bed, his midriff covered and bandaged. The dark bruising could be seen somewhat around the injured area outside of the bandages and everything.

Nightwing walked over to Derek and took his mask off. "Derek."

Derek kept staring off into the bleach white wall, not responding.

Joseph sighed and pulled up a chair sitting next to him. "How bad is he hurt Doc?"
