DC Universe- 2100

Derek clenched his fist before looking down. "Fine. Tell me more.", he says before she can leave.

Delilah smiled turning back to him "It is simple, we can give you an implant that will repair your broken body."

Elizabeth arched and eyebrow. "Go on."

"I have a group I think you'll be perfect for" Edgar said "I call them my birds of prey, they work for me and with me on may different projects. I'd like you to be part of that group."

Elizabeth chuckled. "Let me guess, it's all girls femme fatale type team?"

"You'd be the second girl on the team" Edgar said "Falcon is a legacy hero , Eagle a former pilot and Black Bird an old friend."

"Let me think on it." Elizabeth said.

"I'm sure I've given you enough to think about" Edgar smiled handing her his card. "My personal number is on the back if you ever want to go out for coffee or something."

Elizabeth took the card. "I'll give that some thought too." She smiled.

Edgar turned to leave stopping before he got to the door "Oh, and if you see your brother let him know I'm looking for him."

"That sounds a bit too good to be true.", Derek says. "If you don't mind me saying."

"If we were still in the 20th century it would be difficult but this is the 22nd century, implants such as these are common " Delilah said "I'm sure your own company has their own designs. Frankly I'm surprised you haven't thought of doing this yourself."

"There are no, and I mean no implants that can currently restore damage such severe yet. Certainly not in any market I've investigated. On or off the books. Trust me. I know.", Derek stares at her. "I've searched."

"No hard enough"

"You adapted lazarus properties, didn't you?"

Delilah just smiled at him before leaving "I will see you soon"

Derek watches her leave then turns back towards the window again after the door to his office closes.

(heading to bed)

Elizabeth nodded. "Will do"

Kasumi walks away from the scene of a meeting between a few up-and-coming gang leaders, wiping off her sword. The police sirens blare in the distance and she vanishes, appearing again on the roof of the building across the street.


Angelica sits in the Batcave. "Come on, Lorie, where'd you disappear to?"

Edgar left returnign to his office.

Delilah got into the back of the car waiting for her "Back to the hotel, we'll be here a few more days"


Vidar stepped off the jet looking around "Why are we back in Gotham?"
"There is someone here the boss wants us to bring in" NightStalker told him "Stay on task and do not let your own vendettas detour you, Batman can wait for another day."
"I always carry out the mission" Vidar said "but if we happen to cross paths with the bat, I cannot promise I won't go after him."
"Good enough for me" Nightstalker said

Batman stood on a rooftop over looking the city.

"What did he want?"

"So you know?" Nightingale said coming up next to him.

"Well...I'm Batman." He smiled.

"Please don't start with that." Nightingale smiled. "But he offered me a spot on his team and he wants to meet with you, probably about the cowl."

"Probably." Batman said. "I'll get in touch with him soon, but for now let's get to this patrol."

Kasumi leaps along rooftops, following a couple of squad cars to a parking garage further uptown.

Batman landed near the garage with Nightingale. "We'll have company on this one it seems."

"She's here?"

"Yes." Batman said.

Inside, a few cops get out near an armored car, surrounded with men in suits with skull masks.  Kasumi watches, clung to the ceiling.  "You sure no capes are gonna bust in on us?"

"You ain't heard, yet?  That Superman was a phony.  The Justice League took care of him," one of the cops says.

"And the Bat?"

"No one's seen him or any of his flunkies in days," the second cop says.  "Just the Cat.  And she knows not to go stickin' her nose where it don't belong.  Now we got us a deal or what?"
