DC Universe- 2100

Nightwing nodded and hurried off after them.

They arrive at the hidden location and Batman is the first to drop down in the shadows.

Mischief is struck in the head yet again and this time when her head lowers and her jet black hair covers her face, she doesn't tense up. Her mouth twists itself into a jackal-like-grin and she utters a ghastly laugh. The more she's struck, the louder the laugh gets.

Batman catches the incoming swing and throws Centurion back.

Centurion catches himself and sweeps out Batman's legs

Nightwing dropped down tackling Ceturion and wrestling with him before being thrown aside.

"If ya want somethin' done right..." Mischief says in a surprisingly festive tone. Then, still grinning like a Cheshire Cat, she looks up at where one of the chains met the wall ceiling and pulled...HARD. The ceiling began to slowly crack.

A few moments later as Centurion continued to battle the other heroes, he's suddenly struck in the head by a slab of concrete connected to a long chain. Mischief stood there. She'd pulled the chains out and had turned them into weapons. "Y'know, I was saving this question for Batsy, but considering the circumstances, I'll ask you instead." Slowly, she approaches him. "Why So Serious?" She pulls the knife from her leg that he'd left and continues to approach him, the same demented grin across her face. "Let's put a SMILE on that face."

She bobs around for a brief moment than lunges, tackling Centurion to the ground with the knife in hand and raises it over her head, bringing it down with the most ominous laugh yet.

Centurion reacted quickly and threw her aside and off of him. He rolled over and got into a crouch pulling his side arm and firing at her.

Nightwing came at Centurion from the side and came at him with a flurry of strikes with his escrima sticks, Centurion avoided and blocked them all save one, the escrima stick was charged and it struck the side of his face cracking his protective helmet exposing his eye. He stumbled back firing wildly at Nightwing to keep him back.

Batman got a hold of Mischief before she could get back up and injects a syringe into her neck to make her pass out from the formula, catching her before she falls and throws two batarangs that disarm Centurion from his guns.

Mischief had taken the bullet but her Nano-Weave was up and she was too crazed right now to pay the pain any mind. She takes the knife and throws it at Centurion's face while he's busy with Nightwing. When Batman uses a syringe on her, the needle bends against her nano-skin and she turns to look at him over her shoulder. "And, what do you think YOU'RE doin', Batsy?" She says, grabbing him and tossing him back." Then she looks back to Centurion to see if the knife got him while he was distracted.

Batman catches himself and looks back at Centurion and Nightwing before turning to Mischief. "I imagine the only thing keeping you up right now is that nano weave. Stay back."

Centurion dropped the knife as he stumbled back holding his eye. He roared in pain and anger blood pouring from between his fingers and he grabbed a bomb from his utility belt and threw it down flooding the entire ware house with white blinding light that overloaded Batman and Nightwing's masks and temporarily blinded anyone else and emitting a loud and constant noise.

When the light faded and the noise subsided Centurion was gone, all that was left was his damaged mask, a hole where his right eye would be.

Nightwing grunted and leaned on the wall blinking to regain his sight and composure

Mischief held her head and groaned. "Talk about a curtain call, 'ey, Bats?" She says. Just then she noticed that her watch had shorted out. Her Nano Skin was stuck until she could get another one. "Well, that's just peachy. Tah, Bat Brigade! Thugs scare, robbers to beat the crap out of! SMILES that need to be shared!"

"I can't let you go. You're gravely injured and your best shot is treatment at the Justice League Watch Tower, where you are a member.", Batman says.

"Oh, come ON, Batsy! Ya didn't think I'd fall for that, didja? You know I'll heal up in a day or two. I mean REALLY. If ya wanted to keep an eye on little ol' me, would it've hurt to just SAY so? I am O-FENDED! ....Well, okay, not really. Fine, Fine I'll head to the Super Not-So-Secret Hideout,". Mischief say, holding up Batman's communicator. How she got it was anyone's guess. She was a heckuva pickpocket. "Mischief to Watchtower. Testing. 1-2? Beam me up, Scotty!" Then she tosses the communicator to Batman as she disappears.

"...I don't know whether to despise or admire her set of skills.", Batman says and looks over at Nightwing. "Are you okay?"

Nightwing chuckled. "Tore my stitches open but I'm fine." He said popping his shoulder back in place. "Centurion has enhanced strength...didn't know that."

"Neither did I" Star said

"Must have been holding back on the criminals before now.." Nightwing said picking up Centurion's mask. "We need to find him he won't stop...and we need to find his brother's real killer."

"I'll keep searching for him"

"So will I." Nightwing said.

Star nodded flying off to see if he can track down Centurion

"If you need to use my computer then let me know.", Batman says and leaves.

Nightwing nodded before making his way back to his loft.

"That could have gone better.", Batman says to Angelica through the com. "Centurion's gone rogue."
