Nightlight helped Nightwing to the doc

(No this is all according to plan so far)

"Revenge." Centurion said punching her in the face.

(right, so what can I do to help)

(Can't really do anything with them until they decide to stop the torture I suppose. I think Venom had Superman sent to Hawk and Dove before.)

(Nightwing is going to be tracking Centurion down to save Mischief so Morningstar could help him and Nightwing could bring in Batman as well and yeah I had Superman go find Hawk and Dove to invite them into the Justice League.)

Lorie and Angelica glance to one another. "Uh, bro. Maybe this time I pick where we go, huh?" And just like that, the trio find themselves back at the old diner Angelica used to work at as a waiter. "Ah, Nostalgia. I love it so. Strawberry smoothie for me, if you please?" She tells the new waitress as the young lady takes orders.


Mischief had stopped bothering to respond by this point. The joke wasn't funny anymore. It was tiring...tiring and painful.

Centurion was growing impatient now so he picked up a crowbar and started to go to work on Mischief, if he wasn't going to get a confession he was at least going to make her pay. He swung it again and again hitting her with it.

Nightwing grunted as he landed on a roof top, his leg was patched up but a bullet wound was going to cause him plenty of discomfort as he moved around. He couldn't just let Mischief die, she was a wack job sure but she didn't deserve to die.

"Huh... I should have seen this coming.", Derek says before realising it's his turn to order. "Ah, chocolate shake."

"He's not serious" Nightlight said looking at Star "IS he serious?"
"He is" Star said "and I'm going with him."
"Now you're sounding crazy. There's no way you two are fit enough to go after him"
"Doesn't matter" Star said "he's going to kill her if we don't do something."
"What about Batman or one of the other heroes"
"We'll try reaching Batman but we need to move fast" Star said heading out with Nightwing. "Tag along if you wish or stay behind."

Mischief was just shy of unconsciousness at this point. Any more of this and she might actually just give up. Her muscles tensed with every strike. She bled from several places and now her head hung over. So...this is how it ends. Ironic.


"That whole Brainiac situation must've REALLY opened you eyes, bro," Angelica says, sipping her shake.

"Considering I woke up in my...more dangerous outfit after Brainiac's little mind game, I'd say it was pretty stressful," Lorie adds.

Nightwing tried contacting Batman as he jumped across and roof top and landed in a roll. He winced from the wound.

"Yes, I think that's pretty much it--", Derek stops as his phone rings and he answers it. "Hello?"

"This a bad time Bats?" Nightwing said perched on a gargoyle.

"That... depends. What's the issue?"

"Vigilante named Centurion believes Mischief killed his brother but I think it was made to frame her, he's got her prisoner now and he's gonna kill her. Could use some back up." Nightwing said.

Derek clenches his teeth and his expression changes. "...I'm on my way.", he says and hangs up, getting up. "It's an emergency. Centurion's about to kill Mischief", he tells them, although not loud enough for anyone else to hear him.

Nightwing sighed in relief a little and looked back at Nightlite. "Well, Batman is coming to help."

"Go ahead," Angelica says. "We'll watch the city while you're gone."

Lorie nods in agreement.


Mischief was starting to go numb. Her nano-skin was self repairing but it'd be an hour before that was done. And even that, all he'd need to do is break it again. Then something got to her mind. After hitting her in the head with the crowbar, the irony of it all sank in. It was...funny.

"Lead me to them.", Batman says, having arrived shortly after Nightwing's call. "I don't imagine we have much time."

"That's a relief" Nightlight said "but do you know where he took her?"

(Twi, if Venom comes back, you're free to control Batman. I have to go.)

(Sorry I vanished, had to help the wife with groceries.)

"I have an idea." Nightwing said. "He'd mentioned a warehouse once before that he utilized as a base. It's outside of the city limits."

"I think I know where it is" Morningstar said

"Lead us the way", Batman says and hurries along with them.
