Crimes in the heart of Blackcliff (part 2)

Jack was about to take a sip when he heard something new to his ears. "Married?"

"Yes" Roger smiled "I propsed not long ago."

John walked into the club looking around. "James."

James walked over. "What's up boss?"

"Just here for the grand opening." John said. "We need to talk later, I have some suspicions about that Roger."

"Really? He does seem kinda douchey."

"Yes well we will talk about all that after this, I don't want to ruin Gwen's evening." John said.

Jack paused for a moment and downed his second drink before looking over at John and James. He looked at Roger again. "Congrats. Excuse me.", he said and went over to them.

Gwen excused herself from her company and went over to greet John. "Glad you could make it."

Jack was about to ask John a question but kept quiet when Gwen came over.

John nodded and smiled a bit. "Of course, wouldn't miss this."

Gwen hugged him "got some wonderful news too, roger and I are engaged."

John pulled back. "Really? So soon?" He asked. "Well congratulations are in order then."

"Thank you" Gwen smiled

John smiled. "Yeah."

"You know, I'm so happy for the next hour drinks are on the house" Gwen said

James smiled. "Gwen you just made me so I'd propose to you if you weren't taken." He joked.

"Well I'm flattered" Gwen smiled

James smiled heading to the bar.

John chuckled a little. "Don't lead him on Gwen you know he's a horndog."

"I know" Gwen smiled

"So how long until the place opens?" John asked.

"Oh we're open now" Gwen said "Who do you think all these people are?"

"Guess I didn't see them coming in." John said.

James was at the bar watching the girls do their shows.

"Perfectly understandable" Gwen said

John nodded. "Yeah, seems like the place is really kicking." He smiled.

"Yep" gwen smiled sipping her drink

"So where is Mr. Wonderful?" John asked.

"Over by the bar" Gwen said "He was talking with Jack."

"Ahh." John nodded. "I'll have to tip my hat to the man later then."
