Star Wars: A New Dawn

Maeror ended the communication without a word.

"I am Darth Angalacon, the Sith Warmaster and the Surpreme Commander of the Sith Military." Angalacon said looking down to her again. "And I am your teacher."

"Ouch. That's cold, Han. I thought we were buddies," Kit pouts.

"I'm sure ya would be, if ya quit hasslin' the man," Cairn says. "Over 'n' Out, Solo." Cairn closes out the comm. "All right, darlin', let's get this girl ready for a trip."

Kitty pulls her goggles back down over her eyes and gets back to work.

The Captain wrote:

"Ossus." Désir said as the shuttle took off for her ship, Ziost.

Darren sat still in a meditating position through out the remainder of the journey to Ossus. "I assume we're there. I can feel it."

"We are, but we're still a ways from the planet. We're out of scanner range so we'll take the shuttle down." Désir said.

Luke went out calling for everyone going on them mission to gather up.

Ford, Saltatha, and Jarik arrived with Han and Chewie.

Tamil and Ena lined up with the rest of the party, though only Tamil was likely to take part in the rescue itself. He'd been hooked up to a bacta pump for a while, and taken a few extra kolto injections to supplement them, but he was still healing. It was likely he'd have to drop himself into a healing trance to finish off the last of his injuries by the time they got to Byss. Ena was still exhausted, with rings starting to form around her eyes, but she figured she'd just sleep on the way there.

"All right.", Darren agreed and got up off the floor. "Let's retrieve this holocron."

Jaxie stands at Ford's side, awaiting the rundown of the plan with crossed arms. Occupying the back of the room is Zora, accompanied by Jil and the rest of the Mercenary Knights. Siha stands near Grand Master Skywalker and Nix hovers in the back corner, leaning against the wall and observing from afar.

"Thank you for coming everyone." Luke said. "Leia is on Byss, in the former Imperial Citadel. The Sith hit Byss with more forces than they even hit Coruscant with. In order to infiltrate the Citadel we'll need a team to take down the shield generator here."

With that a large hologram of the citadel appeared then moved across the map towards a smaller installation.

"The shield generator prevents ships from approaching the citadel unless they have a clearance code. The Sith have obviously changed the codes or we'd be able to get in via Imperial codes. Taking down the Shield Generator will not be easy. Who will volunteer for that?"

Désir nodded. "Let's." She said stepping off the shuttle, they had arrived at a small town near the Jedi Temple on Ossus.

"She can slip through anything," Jaxie says, nodding towards Nix.

"You're a special kind of stupid if you think I'm doing that alone, kid," Nix retorts.

"I would put it more... delicately," Zora says. "But I agree. Master of stealth or not, a mission of that threat level would be suicide for a single individual. At least two tech experts would be needed to shut that thing down, there should be a scout to cover these two access points on either side of Corridor B and cut enemy access with a good enough vantage point, and a few extra feet on the ground for defensive purposes. To suppress enemy resistance once the party is through to Corridor C and the shields are tampered with."

"A crack team of saboteurs," Tsuni says.

"Sounds like a mission for Storm Commandos or your Republic Infiltrators." Jarik said. "I can deploy my contingent of Commandos here near Corridor B to cover the specialists heading in to shut down the generator. Once the shield is down the Inflictor can drop in from hyperspace and provide air support as forces from the Citadel will be coming in along these roads."

"I'll keep the Falcon back and drop in once the shield is down, then we can storm the Citadel and get Leia out." Han said.

Darren followed her off the shuttle and gazed around using Force Sense. "Nothing in the nearby vicinity emanating a strong connection to the force. Aside from you, of course...", he said a bit quieter and turned his vision to her, seeing her aura and sensing it quite clearly.

Désir looked back at him and then masked her Force presence using her Force Illusion technique. "You done admiring? Come one, most of the powerful Jedi will have been sent out to aid in the war."

"I can use this area, here, as a vantage point to cover enemies attempting to follow you to and from Corridor B," Tsuni says, highlighting a space far off from the action.

"A bit far a way," Zora says. "Will you be able to hit anything from there?"

"Believe me," Jaxie says. "She can hit an ant from there."

"We'll still need some feet on the ground with the assassin and the techs. To cover them more closely," Zora says.

Jaxie raises a hand. "I'll go," she says.

"As will I." Cassus said walking up.

"Me too." Ford said.

"Hmph.". Darren went with her towards the temple and masked his own presence. After a while of walking Darren told Désir to stop. "Here. This will locate the tracking device and the ship it's on.", he said and handed her a device.

Zora stares for a moment at the hologram, then turns to her own team. "Jil, go with them," she says.

"What, now?" Jil asks, arching an eyebrow as she's taken a bit off guard.

"They will need your supporting abilities. Knights, the rest of you will cooperate with the Republic and Imperial Forces to keep the enemy suppressed."

"So long as no one tries to stuff me in a uniform. I look dreadful in formal attire," Dorian muses.

"You always look like that," Hsien hisses.

"So chillingly cold for a Mirialan. You know that?" Dorian says, slumping over, defeated.

"The rest of us will stay back until the shields are clear and we can strike to get Leia back," Zora says.

"One question, then. Who'll handle the tech jobs? This is incredibly different and advanced technology. I doubt any of us could manage it, at least not with the time constraints being what they are," Tsuni says.

"She's right. Blowing it up ain't gonna work," Nix adds. "We need tech geniuses for this one."

"I can disable the shield generator," Ena volunteered, rubbing the bridge of her nose to try and shake off her tiredness. "My Mechu-deru will allow me to see exactly how the generator works and disable it without damaging the components, and I can fight effectively if worst comes to worst. Though with something that difficult, I will need help; it would be faster anyway."

Saltatha growled and nodded.

"Saltatha can assist you Ena, he also has Mechu-Deru." Ford said. "I think the two of you will be enough, then he'll join the team striking the citadel once the shields are down."

Désir activated the device. "They moved it, it's on that CR90 Corvette." She said pointing to the Blockade Runner landed near the temple.

"That will have to be a snap transition," Zora says. "Once those shields are down, the the shields team will be under extreme pressure. They're as much a distraction as the are infiltration and sabotage. They may not get a chance to connect with the rescue team until after the rescue has been made."

"Not to mention that there's still the possibility the main team will need a tech to help with security doors," Hsien adds. "No doubt Leia will be behind doors that no lightsaber can cut. And keys likely won't be easy to get a hold of."

"Well don't that sound like a real dilemma," Kitty says and she and Cairn step in, Kitty leaning in the doorway and Cairn tipping his hat. "Howdy."

Jaxie looks around, then raises a hand. "Okay, I'll bite. Who's this?"

Ena started slightly, then rolled her eyes. "Bandit. Figures. Still doing your own thing, eh?"

"Are you certain", Darren asked with an arched eyebrow. He turned away with a grimace. He had to take her word for it. "I can get onboard unseen. We should also consider sabotage after the holocron has been retrieved.", he said and began to cloak himself, heading on an offbeaten path.

"Yes I'm sure." Désir said following him down the path. "I'll handle sabotaging the ship."

"Cairn and Kit." Han said to Jaxie. "Friends of mine."

"So when are we leaving?" Qui-Gon asked

"Let's just say the Sith a bad for business, Foxy Loxy," Kitty says.

"Y'all need another tech, this'ns good as it gets," Cairn says.

"Thank ya, kindly, daddy."

Jaxie right near does a double-take. "Daddy?"

"So if everyone is ready with their assignments let's get going." Luke said. "Han I'm with you in the Falcon."

"Right, c'mon kid." Han said heading to his ship with Chewbacca and Luke.
