"I can still walk you back.", Derek offered as he stood up, offering his hand to her.

He returns the glare with a blank, indifferent expression on his face. He then says, "Say, how's that loss of blood working out for you? Listen, your identity has already been compromised to me, and I can assure you it won't be revealed to anyone else."

Edgar looked down at the alley patiently waiting for Derek to arrive.

Brass takes Derek by the arm and walks back with him, looking over her shoulder as she hears the courier cough in leaving.


"The identity isn't what I'm worried about," she retorts. "Whatever." Freakin' Pervert, she thinks. She then loses the mask and suit.

"Oh.", Marko says and turns away as she starts to undress. "And no, I'm not a pervert. Just a bad mind reader."

"Have a good night, Brass.", Derek says to her as they stop back at the building.

"Oh, you could hear that? I had no idea," Natasha says in a tone laced with sarcasm, doubling back and holding her wounds. "Ow..."

"Later days, tiger," Brass says as she walks inside.

Marko throws her a hospital gown and makes her lay down, putting her out and immediately treating to her wounds and transferring blood.

Derek watches her and then leaves to suit up and meet this Dark Knight.

Edgar looked across the street seeing a couple bats flying around a light snatching little bugs out of the sky.

As Natasha begins to come around, she feels strange though she eventually collects herself. "Whose blood...was that? Uhn- Nevermind...still hurts. That girl was good...really good."

"I suppose you know I've been here for a while now.", Derek says in his costume, coming out of the dark.

"Don't move too much.", Marko tells her. "I collected some data from your suit, including a short recording of your encounter. Yes... she was well trained.", he agreed. "I've seen that fighting style somewhere before, though..."

"I have" Edgar said turning to face him "was just waiting to see what move you'd make. Do you know the history of the Batman Mr. Wilson? Yes, I know who you are as you've no doubt figured out who I am by now."

"I've seen it before too. Fighting Styles are like fingerprints. We can probably trace it on the main computer," Natasha says, trying to get up.

Marko puts his hand on her uninjured shoulder and keeps her down. "I'll re-route the main computer so you may analyze it here. You're not getting out of bed in a while, though.", he says, heading to a terminal.

"I am quite familiar with it, Mr. Wayne."

"Then you know that only a Wayne has the right to be Batman" Edgar said "but, there have been exceptions made in the past. I've been watching you and I believe my ancestors would approve of you as their succesor."

Natasha swats the martian's hand aside. "I join this little club so I could keep tabs on people who needed a beatdown. I didn't join it to go soft. If this wouldn't keep Batman down, then it SURE isn't keeping me down." She then gets up and marches off toward the main hub, bearing through the pain of her wounds.

Derek glances over Edgar. "I see...", he nods. "Thank you, I suppose... truth be told, I didn't know what to expect when I got the note."

Marko rolls his eyes and follows her to the mainhub.

Wonder-Girl sees as Bat-Woman enters the room and approaches her. "Bat-Woman? You do not look well. You're injured. Should you not be resting?"

"You're an amazon, Princess. The last I checked, your kind didn't call it a day for a little wound like this."

"Amazon's are more resilient than average humans."

"Who says I'm an average human?" Bat-Woman says, making her way to the hub. There she pulls up a database on a number of Batman's enemies. "Isolating out all of his better fighters...Not Clue...Not Momma..."

Wonder-Girl sees Marko enter and shrugs.

"She's stubborn. Last I checked that appears to be a quality in humans that make them strangely resilient.", Marko told Wonder-Girl and then turns to Bat-Woman. "Her fighting style might be comparable to the League of Shadows.", he suggests to Bat-Woman.

Bat-Woman cross references the recording from her mask with the intelligence on the League of Shadows. "Hugely similar. Enough to say she may be one of them but she's added her own accents here and there if that's where she got her style from...good find..."

"I have my moments.", Marko says. "If she's experimenting with the original style then perhaps there's a reason for it."

"I'll worry about that after I figure out why she's after me. I've never run into the League of Shadows before. Something doesn't add up."

Marko scratches his chin. "Hmm... rewind the recording... and stop right there. Play it."

"...why are you so very surprised? Did you not get my message?"

"What message..."

"Stop.", Marko says. "So you have not recieved a single heads up, then?"

"Not a one..."

"Bat-Girl seemed bothered about something earlier when she returned from Bludhaven," Wonder-Girl says.

"Then I suppose she was the one who got that exact message.", Marko guessed. "I'll try and contact her."

"Didn't get her face," Bat-Woman says. "And I didn't see it. Us Bats better be on our toes. It looks like we've got a predator."


Angelica's phone rings as she's leaving the diner from her date. When no one appears to be looking, she slips into an alley. "What is it?"

"It's Marko. We have reason to believe you recently got an anonymous threat recently and that Bat-Woman had an encounter with this certain threat."
