Justice League

For when we do eventual move the JL from the batman rpg to it's own

Superman entered STAR Labs heading down into it's depths to do his usual work out, pushing his body to the limits.

Super-Girl suddenly floats in, sporting her beach wear. "Hey, daddy. The YJ crew is heading out. Already told mom. Don't worry, none of em are quite cute enough for me," she jokes. "See ya later."

Superman set down his weights and sat up. 'Uhh alright!"

Wonder Woman ponders how Amazon could have wound up at sea to begin with. "Would you like to see the palace? I'm sure Hippolyta and Diana would have questions for you."

"I would love to meet them" Claire smiled

(not exactly sure how she wound up in the ocean alone but I'm thinking it was when she was a little older)

Corinna brings Claire to see them. "My queen. And princess Diana. This is...well...allow her to introduce herself."

"Your grace" Claire boes slithly "I am Claire Troia."

The two look to one another. "A...familiar name," Hippolyta tells Diana.

"Indeed it is, mother. You are one of our sister."

"I am a lost sister" Claire said "or was."

"We'll, welcome back," Diana says.

"Ah...Princess, if I may," Corinna interrupts. "Welcome back? Not welcome home?"

"Home is where the heart is, Corinna. If she feels at home here, then she has a home here," Hippolyta says.

"Thank you" Claire smiles "Though I do have a few questions about my past."

"Whatever you would ask us, it is yours to know," Diana says. She then looks to Hippolyta. "Well...almost whatever."

Claire arches an eyebrow at the last remark. "My parent's told me they found me adrift at sea. There was no mention of any one else, just me. I looked into it myself when I was older and found nothing from that time about a sunken ship. My question I guess is, how did I wind up alone in the middle of the ocean?"

"Of course you wouldn't have been on a ship. Aside from those designated Wonder Woman and Wonder-Girl, our ambassadors to the world outside, Amazonians do not leave the island. How you wound up at sea must have been some manner of accident. Diana?"

"It is rather odd. Perhaps there may have been a traitor in our midst as there have been before. She may have tried to take you away from here and failed."

"Makes sense" Claire said

"Have you, perhaps, heard of the goddess Circe?" Diana asks.

"Yeah, I'm familiar with her story" Claire said "I read the Illyiand and Odessy in highschool."

"Princess, in my time as Wonder Woman, I haven't seen her.  If you mean to imply that she's got something to do with it-"

"I understand.  No one's seen here in years," Diana says.  "Well, do you have any other questions, sister?

"Just who my real parents are" Claire said "but I don't need to know that right away."

"Very well," Diana says. "Please, excuse me." With that, the princess leaves.

"I should return to Gateway City," Corinna says. "I have unresolved issues to attend to. Stay for as long as you like, of course." Then she walks away.


Up at the Watchtower, Mercy arrives in her Star-Girl getup along with Angelica and her ring. "You sure you're got a handle on this thing, Angie? The last thing we need is a Black Lantern flying around...or Yellow...or Violet...or Orange...you know, maybe we should keep that thing on ice."

"I'd love to get rid of it. But it doesn't want to get rid of me," she says.

Claire stood there alone for awhile before heading off and looking around.

Suddenly the Watchtower is contacted by an unknown outside of the League. "That's weird," Star says as she pulls up the screen and answers. "This is a secure channel. Who could-"

"Justice League," the unknown says as he appears on screen.

"Mongul," Angelica says. "What, you didn't get enough when we made you look like an idiot on your own planet? You're coming here next?"

"No. Earth doesn't interest me at all. Just certain members of it's greatest assembly of heroes. I'm merely giving you fair warning."

"So you are threatening us?" Star says.

Mongul laughs. "Threats? Please. I am far beyond that. If I wanted to attack you, I'd have done it by now...and with no warning. But my son, Mongul II doesn't share in my patience. He was equally insulted by your display and is en route to Earth."

"Why do you care?"

"He has always been a disgrace to me, honestly. I'm afraid he still doesn't know his place. I'm interested in seeing that he learns it."

"You want us to beat up your boy?"

"I want you to humble him," Mongul responds.

"I'm calling Superman," Star says.

"Good luck. My son has fought the likes of the original Kryptonian and matched him. I look forward to watching the battle...and, of course, broadcasting it to the people of War World." The transmission then cuts.

Cole sat at his desk typing up away at work.

The Watchtower suddenly picks something up, approaching Earth Space.  Star scans it over.  "He could've warned us earlier," she says.

"He's Mongul.  Since when does he give time for preparation?" Angelica says.  "He's heading for Metropolis.  Let's go.  Superman'll probably know it's there before it hits the ground."

"No time to call the rest of the League?"

"Time to call em, sure.  No time to wait for em all," Angelica says, slipping the ring back on and flying off, projecting a bubble around Star to protect her from the vacuum of space and the heat of entry.

Mongul II's ship rapidly approaches Metropolis.
