DC Universe- 2100

"Because your wife is so very important. All right, I'll buy it...for now." Lantern flies off and patrols the area for anyone with a freeze gun. However, the moment she leaves, an alarm goes off in Frost's lair.

Frost stands up and looks around, grabbing his freezegun.

As Frost approaches the door, three goons in colorful, clown-like clothing erupt in through the doors, all armed with specialized guns. "Give it up, ice box! The diamonds. NOW." One of them says.

Frost kept working on a cure for his wife, while thinking about his daughter.

"Well that was fast" Amazon smiled "shall we go then?"

"Oh. Goons.", Frost says as he watches them freeze up from Liquid nitrogen shooting up from the ventilations, as part of the security system.

"After you.", Batman says.

Suddenly Frost is struck from behind by something extraordinarily hot. "Hey, Snowman, how's it hangin'!" Says a young woman with a Jersey accent. She then picks up one of the diamonds on the desk and turns a dial on her blaster. "Like the modifications I made to your guns? Normally I don't like my boys to be hot 'n' cold but these bad boys work juuust fine." Madcap. The insane girl then shoots Frost again as she collects more diamonds. "Ya use these things to power the guns and your suit, right? Good! That means there'll be plenty more around for me to snatch!"

"Thank you" Amazon smiled heading to her jet.

"No... You can't... I won't let you... leave...", Frost says trying to get up.

Batman follows her.

Madcap holds the blaster back up while looking at the diamond in her hand. "Aaaaaaah, shut up." She then shoots him again as a hoard of others come into the room through the windows. "Get the suit off him, boys. We're gonna see if we can't salvage a bit here. Tah-tah, Snowman!" Madcap then leaves as her crews starts hoarding Frost to get the suit away from him.

"Alright, I'm thinking we need put a stop to these little wars first" Amazon said "so maybe we split up Hawk, Dove and Batman go to Markovia and me, Centurion and Morningstar go to Khandaq?"

"...Ugh... aaaaAAAHHHHH!", Frost shouts as his suit powers up in a sudden burst, freezing the whole room with him in it.

"Is there a plan to this?", Batman says.

"Well, no, not exactly" Amazon said "but stopping war is always a good thing. The only other option is we try to capture one of the assassins and questiong them."

Madcap looks over her shoulder from outside. "Yeah...that figures. Oh well!" She then skips away.

"Won't happen. I've tried and haven't gotten a word out of them.", Batman says. "Not that I needed to, in the end. As for stopping a war, barging in without a plan is risky."

A hand suddenly burst out from the cold, brick wall of the labratory as Madcap leaves.

Madcap grabs hold of a ladder extended to her from a stolen Bat-Wing type flying jet, painted black and red. Before being pulled off, she sticks her tongue out at Frost and climbs up, pressing a button on her belt, detonating charge on the other side of Frost's lair.

"We know that Markovia and Khandaq are the aggressors" Amazon said "and so far they've taken advantage of recent deaths in the leadership of neighboring countries. We have to assume that trying to reason with either nation is pointless so our only option left to us is siding against them. Ultimatly we want to see an end to the wars and peace reached between all countries involved."

(Where'd she get that, I wonder)

Frost narrows his eyes back at his lair. His wife was well protected so he needn't worry.

"I've been spending months on tracking the assassins they've hired. I am not sure I will be of use. What are we supposed to do in Markovia? Say please?"

((Gee, that one has me stumped, myself))

Madcap had gotten away but Lantern soon returns to Frost's lair. After going over the situation, Lantern flies off. "Bat-Girl," I need you to take over the situation when you're done," she says. "I'm going to rendezvous with Batman. He's with a few other heroes."

"Yeah...sure," Lorelei says, slumping in her seat within the cave.

After a time, Hailstone finds her father and the base, the fire having since been put out. "Dad?" She says, looking throughout the area. "Dad?"

"Here.", Frost says, leaning against a wall, his helm shattered.

"I don't really know" Amazon sighed "this is sort of new to me."
"Then leave it to me" Hawk smiled "War is my thing after all. What we have here, with both Markovia and Khandaq, is a modern day version of the beginnings of the Second World War. Both nations are claiming lands from other countries and nobody in authority to stop them is doing thier job. You want to know what we do in Markovia, we join the resistance and fight against the Markovian soldiers. We turn the tide against them and make them think twice about trying this again. Plans and stratgies do help in war but they don't always work."

"Batman, this is Lantern. I'm En Route to your position. If you wanna know how I GOT your position...well the ring told me. Don't ask, I don't know how it works."


Hailstone finds her father rushes over to him. "DAD! Wha- who?!"

"I wasn't going to. Alright.", Batman responds through the com to Lantern before looking at Hawk. "How does threatening them to declare peace make sense?"

"Girl. With bright colours.", Frost says tiredly. "I'm sorry."

Hailstone then turns and picks up a freeze gun, leaving. "I'll find her."

"No", Frost says. "Stay"

Hailstone stops in the doorway. "Why?"
