"Yes, one that can power entire civilizations...or if used for nefarious purposes destroy entire galaxies when detonated within the Super Black Hole at the galactic center." The scientist said.

Jack crossed his arms. "Does the Empire have the tech?"

"Thankfully no, I'm the only one who knows how to manufacture it. I was actually on my way to Xandar when the Empire attacked my world and subjugated it, all to capture me."

"Then it would probably be for the best if this knowledge died with you.", Victoria said rather coldly and robotic like before realizing everybody's eyes were fixated on her. "Uhm... I meant, like, 30-40 years from now...?"

"Can we wait to kill him after we get paid, please?" Piper says, her hands behind her head. She looks around. "What? What're we all gawkin' at?"

"I believe that would be the escort" Dover said 

(Somebody got any idea what Pete is working on in the lab, had a thought that maybe he even takes control of Daniel while they're away for some reason)

(Maybe a drone to follow him of some sort? With a personality imbued into it?)

Jack looked at them and took the Scientist outside to where the Nova Corps members were waiting for them.

"Ello, bucket heads!" Piper says. "We've got a right pretty present for ya. One egghead, all wrapped up. We'll be taking our pay, now."

The Centurion looked at Piper then Jack. "Your credits will be deposited shortly, we just need to confirm that this man is our target."

"Of course." Jack said.

The Centurion nodded and two Corpsman stepped up taking a eye scan. "Confirmed sir."

"400 Million credits please." Jack smiled.

"400 Mil each, please and thank ya," Piper says.

"If I'm getting paid I only accept hard currency" Dover said.

"Whoa... 400 mil? I suppose that's... very reasonable.", Victoria said.

"400 million, total." The Centurion said. "Take your cuts up with him." He said pointing to Jack. "We didn't hire all of you for the job."

Jack rubbed the back of his head. "Oh don't be cheap man, Nova Corps has loads of credits."

"No." The Centurion said.

"Well, ya did hire me 'n' sporty, luv. So just fork up the 800 mil and we shouldn't have too much trouble. I'm sure we can all be right civilized about this, yeah?"

"It was 400 mil for whoever brought him to us. He brought him." The Centurion said.

"I guess we can split the 400." Jack said.

"Doesn't matter to me, I'm just along for the ride" Dover shrugged 


"Don't worry Daniel, I just need to use a little bit of your program. Besides, when I'm done you'll be more than just part of a ship."

"I am the ship child." Daniels said.

"Yes, I know" Peter sighed "and you still will be but I'm going to make part of you more. Just trust me, I know what I'm doing. I always know what I'm doing and don't call me kid."

"Same.", Victoria said before leaning over to Dover. "And I really don't wanna end up in prison again after we just broke out of one.", she whispered to him.

"Prison doesn't bother me too much" Dover said

"It's settled then, a 70/30 split for the two of us. I'm the 70% of course seeing as I flew everyone here and actually got to the scientist first." Jack said.

"I did not call you kid, I called you child." Daniels said.

Piper laughs. "Cute, luv. But seein' how I'm the one made it possible to get out of that system in the first place, I think I'm entitled to 50, yeah? Yeah. Or would you have preferred I took the egghead, myself?" she chimes.

"60/40.' Jack said.

"50/50," Piper says with a hum and twirling her gun on her finger with her other hand on her hip.

"Twirling your gun ain't gonna help." Jack said putting his hand on his.

"If violence breaks out no one gets any money and you all go to jail." The Centurion said.
