Justice League

"Orin is wasting his time with this...this 'Superman' character," Nemo says as he paces in the throne room of Atlantis with Kiva standing at the door with her hands folded behind her back. "He might be exceptional but Superman wastes his time. If this 'Sovereign' doesn't destroy the surface dwellers, they'll simply destroy themselves."

"Your distrust of them isn't rational, Nemo. The Land Striders have been good allies to Atlantis in the past."

"No, the Justice League has been. The rest of the Surface Dwellers are a waste of good life essence."

"You don't mean that, Nemo. You hold life in as high regard as the king you admire so much. Besides, if this Sovereign turns his sights on Atlantis, then you can be sure we will need their help."

"The truth in your words is what startles me, dear Kiva. More than you realize."

Aquaman arrived back in the throne room heading to the ornate throne in the back. "Superman is a valuable ally Nemo. It would be best if you learned keeping him on our side is of the utmost importance."

"Of that, there can be no doubt, your excellence. But the average surface dweller-"

"Land Strider," Kiva interrupts.

"That as well," Nemo responds. "They hardly inspire confidence."

Aquaman sat at his throne. "How many of them have you met Nemo?"

"Only those that regularly pollute your oceans," Nemo retorts. "And those of their bounty hunters who would dare subjugate your people and threaten Atlantis, herself."

"One person cannot speak for a million, Nemo. Much less 8 billion. You assume too much of their kind, simply because of a few bad ones."

"Exactly." Orin said standing up. "They are our cousins, we share this Earth with them. While we have our differences we must stand together against threats like this Sovereign."

"And that means we are to forgive the guilty ones of their crimes?" Nemo says.

"Atlantis is not free of sin either, Nemo," Kiva responds. "Come judgment day, we may all have much to answer for."

Aquaman sighed. "You have much to learn still Nemo. Judge men as they come."

"Whatever you say, Orin," Nemo says. "If you will excuse me, I will be in the library." He leaves, calmly shutting the door behind him.

Kiva watches the door shut and then turns to Orin. "Is there anything you will be needing, your excellence?"

"No." Orin said. "Take the day for yourself." He said with a smile.

"T-thank you, sire," Kiva says, bowing before taking her leave.

Orin sat down in his throne and leaned back, pondering about the Sovereign situation. Atlantis had to be strong, he had to be strong when Sovereign arrived.

In Central City, a pair of red blurs roar through the streets, followed by a yellow one that is gaining on them.

Donald sat in his office at STAR Labs in Central City.

"-But what's more, it appears that there are somehow three of them tearing through the city, and not just one. No one's been able to capture the event, so it is impossible to determine if they are, in fact, all The Flash, but-"

One of the scientists, Hank Glover, walks in and cuts off the news. "I don't know about you, but I'm sick of hearing' about ol' Fleet Feet. He's a big hero. We get it. As for you, Donny, boy, you get that research data to the other R&D boys yet? Last I checked with em, they were trying to seem important with their ten dollar words and junk."

Donald looked back a Babe Ruth candy bar halfway in his mouth. "Mhm." He said taking a bite of it. "Sent it down like half an hour ago." He looked at the news. "What's going on there?"

"Heck if I know. A bunch of blurs tearing up the city, from the looks of it," Hank says. "Fast as the Flash, the lot of em. I'll get tell the boys in R&D to get their heads outta their hides and check their mail." He then leaves, heading to Research and Development.

Donald nodded and got up heading out of the office punching out for lunch.

In no time at all he'd caught up to the other Speedsters. 

"So uh...what's all this then?" The Flash said running along side them.

"Figured you'd show up eventually," Zoom sneers.

The others were significantly younger; one girl and one boy. The two of them look over their shoulders. "A new challenger appears!" The girl says.

"Ya just HAD to say it," the boy retorts.

"Zip it. Let's split."

The two young ones turn off in opposing directions, leaving Flash there with Zoom.

"So...Gonna talk or do I have to trip you?" Flash said running beside him.

"Hey, good idea," Zoom says, tripping Flash.

Flash smiled and kept running. "Yeah, not gonna work, I can vibrate myself to achieve intangibility. So I guess we do this the hard way." He said shoulder checking Zoom.

"Yes," Zoom says. "We do." He manages to roll to his side but land on his feet and continue running, punching at the Flash several times as they keep neck and neck.

Flash dodged them and kept running with him. "Hmm, pretty fast." He said throwing a series of punches at Zoom.

"You're fast, yourself, but then I guess that's the point," Zoom says, keeping up the heat with the flurry of punches while phasing to dodge Flash's. This...could probably go on for a while.
