"I agree." Superman said. "Manhunter, care to join me?"

"I think Bat-Girl was refering to herself, Superman.", Manhunter said. "Besides, I can't join you yet. I have not finished analyzing the mind link with my subject."

"What? ME? I have to get back to Gotham and clean THAT mess up. Who does that leave you with?" Bat-Girl says.

"I can go," Mischief says.

"...Who ELSE does that leave you with?"

"...Oh, Super-Girl.", Manhunter says.

"Kryptonian. Besides, Daddy still doesn't want me going near Luthorcorp," Super-Girl says.

"Oh oh pick me! I'll go! Pick me!" Mischief says playfully.

"I can try and reach Morningstar.", Manhunter offered.

"Over here! I'll go with him! Always wanted to give Luthor a piece of my ever so colorful mind," Mischief snickers.

Bat-Girl sighs and holds the bridge of her nose.

Manhunter stares over at Mischief for a moment then looks at Bat-Girl and Supes. "It's your decision."

"I really wish Batman were here. All right, you can go with Superman. Just follow his lead and don't make more trouble than we're already in," Bat-Girl says.

"Wicked," Mischief says.

"Good luck," Bat-Girl tells Superman. "Manhunter, how's that whole analysis going?"

"Repairing the link to the mind controller has been like trying to put a puzzle together with a milion pieces.", Manhunter said. "I'm halfway through."

"Maybe it isn't the mind they're controlling. Maybe they just shut the brain down and puppet the shell," Bat-Girl suggests.

"I thought so as well, but there has to be remnants of when the actual proceeding of shutting down the brain occurs. That's what I'm working with, and so far it's fruitless."

"Super-Girl, come here," Bat-Girl says.

Super-Girl flies over and hovers by the table. "Huh?"

"Use your super visions to peak into this guy and see if there's anything disrupting his nervous system and connection to the brain. Specific chemical imbalances or-"

"Done. Tiny little robot-looking things."

"...Nanites? So...Nanites that override free will and Boom Tubes. No M.O I'm familiar with," Bat-Girl says.

Manhunter arches an eyebrow and peaks into the man's mind again. "Hmm. Super-Girl, can you describe the architecture of the nanites? Actually, let me see for myself through your mind.", he says, offering his hand.

Super-Girl touches Manhunter's hand. The nanites were alien in nature. Not like anything on Earth. In fact, it was vaguely familiar. Every nanite had a strange tri-circle insignia upon it, connected with two lines in a V shape.

Manhunter opens his eyes and lets go of her hand. "Thank you, Super-Girl. It's Brainiac."

"Brainiac? ...Oh my God...BRAINIAC! Brainiac has a couple of the most powerful heroes alive under his belt now. We have to find a way to override these things or it's going to get real ugly REAL quick."

"I will work on that. Although perhaps the answer is simple; Electro Magnetic Pulse."

"I think given over a century in activity, he'd have found a way around that," Bat-Girl says.

"Perhaps. Or maybe I'll discover a way to develope a similar answer.", Manhunter said.

Superman sighed and looked at Mischief then Supergirl. "Both of you come with me."

"Really?!" Super-Girl says. Suddenly she rockets off to the teleporters.

"Well isn't SHE the excitable one!" Mischief says, waling off with her hands behind her head. "Metropolis, get ready to Smiiile!"

Bat-Girl looks to Superman as if to say 'Good luck with that'.

Superman nodded at Bat-Girl heading off with them.

Manhunter hid his smiled and proceeded to try and get something out of the 'zombie'.

Down in Metropolis, Super-Girl floats in the street with Mischief just below, leaning against a light post, watching as people stroll by giving her frightened looks. "Friendly people around here," Mischief jokes.

"Lexcorp's not far from here. Just waiting for my dad."


Bat-Girl runs the 'zombie' through a scan. "Picking up a weird signal. Radiation...wait...is this radiation from-? CRAP. It is. It's Kryptonite. Looks like Brainiac's got his eyes on a new toy."
