DC Universe- 2100

Derek suits up before getting out through the skylight as Batman.

Bat-Girl lands in the immediate vicinity of the area where this assassination attempt had taken place. Tables were turned, pictures had been knocked down...something had put up a struggle. No ninja would make things this obvious unless there was a formidable fray. She looks around and sees a broken sword on the floor. "Some big wig owns this place. I'm beginning to see a pattern."

Batman walks over to one of the desk and takes a blood sample from a spot.

Bat-Girl checks a hallway. One person, apparently a part of the cleaning staff, had fallen. But she wasn't dead, merely unconscious. Hardly rattled. She'd probably passed out from shock or maybe gas had been used on her. Opening the door at the end of the hall, she is surprised when someone falls down in the doorway, this one also knocked out. However, he hadn't been put under the easy way. He'd been beaten. "Geez."

"There's a chance that the one who did this is still here"; Batman said to Bat-Girl through the intercom.

Suddenly a ninja flies through a set of double doors and lands on his back before Batman. "Sounds like you found them," Bat-Girl says over her intercom. The ninja had been thrown or forced in some form or way through that door. He groggily rolls his head as he tries to collect himself but ultimately just lies there, hardly able to move.

Batman looks down at the ninja and knocks him out with a blow to the head before hiding in the shadows to see if what had thrown the ninja would appear.

Through the double doors emerges the Bat-Woman in the very same costume that Angelica had worn that night. She kneels down to the ninja and narrows her eyes. She knew she hadn't hit him that hard...yet. She then glances up into the darkness.

Batman comes down at her.

Bat-Woman steps back and meets him eye to eye. She then looks over her shoulder as several ninja surround the two of them. Looking back to Batman, she says nothing.

She looks familiar, but there was something off with her, enough to tip Batman off that he may not be looking at Angelica. Whoever she is, she must know about Angelica at least. This isn't a good time to start asking questions however.

Batman threw batarangs at a group of the ninjas and disappeared into the shadows to make his next move.

As the ninjas are distracted by the batarangs, Bat-Woman grabs two of them and slams their head together before jumping up with a splitting kick to two of them and bringing her elbow down on a fifth. Fighting style? So far, it was very much like Angelica's. She favored Angelica. What was the difference? Something was off. She then picks one of the dazed ninjas up and hurls him across the room.

Bat-Girl suddenly erupts through a set of double doors, having been thrown by a ninja in the next room over. She lands on her feet though and looks over her shoulder to see Bat-Woman there. "Wha-" Caught off guard, a ninja ushers a flying kick and throws her back again

Batman falls down ontop of the ninja who had thrown Bat-Girl and threw him at another group of ninjas.

Bat-Woman kicks one ninja and he slams into another that'd been yanked with her Bat-Claw. She had a Bat-Claw? She then rushes through two double doors as another series of ninjas attack Batman and Bat-Girl.

Batman slams his fits into the face of a ninja and continued to incapacitate the others before checking on Bat-Girl. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm good. Was that-?"

"Bat-Woman.", Batman says. "Let's go", he tells her before heading out. He hadn't said that it was Angelica.

Bat-Woman stands on the roof, having dragged both the head ninja and the head of the company along. While she held CEO by a leash she'd made of her Bat-Claw, she hold the ninja over the ledge. "Who?" She says. The ninja says nothing.

"He's not gonna tell you anything", Batman tells her from behind.

Bat-Woman says nothing and throws him to the rooftop floor beside the sniveling CEO whom she releases from his leash.

"Who are you? The last one to wear that suit disappeared with it.", Batman says.

"Don't get ahead of yourself," she says. She then drops backwards over the ledge of the building. Bat-Girl follows her to the ledge and looks over. Bat-Woman had disappeared over that ledge somehow. There wasn't a trace of her.

"A-Angelica?"

"No", Batman says and turns to the ninja and CEO.

"What do you mean, 'no'? She moves like her, fought like her, physically resembles her, sounds like her...somewhat, has the same costume, has the same gear...who else could it be?"

"The Angelica I know wouldn't do this.", Batman says.
