Gotham City- 2100

Derek turns around in time to disarm a thug from his knife, dislocating his shoulder with a forceful bash by the end of his rifle before shooting him in the neck.

Brass looks down into a container of Venom for a moment. "That's the stuff..."

Derek skullbashes two thugs' heads together as they were about to take aim at Brass. He looks around. 'Must be the last of them...', he thinks. He looks at Brass. "What's with that preoccupied look?"

"From what I do know, VENOM isn't easily destroyed," Brass says, stepping down from the vat and around to Derek. "Let alone three hundred gallons of it."

"And we can't dump it either.", Derek murmurs in thought.

"Any ideas on what we should do with this, then?"

"The best option would be to hide it somehow. Either that or vaporize it."

"All right, where should we hide it then?"

Derek looks past her at the large truck. "We'll have to take it with us"

"Smuggling and illegal drug back with us to Gotham? Interesting."

"We've come so far, why not put another nail in the coffin?", he jokes dryly. "...Actually, nevermind. I know someone we can take it to.", Derek says with a smile getting the forklift.

Brass stands by the container with a cocked eyebrow as he returns with a forklift.

Derek unloads the container onto the truck and then gets out. "I'm driving, come on", he says and heads to the driver's side.

Brass gets into the vehicle and looks around. "Coast is clear, tiger."


Meanwhile in Gotham, Angelica is in the midst of teach a few martial arts maneuvers to Lorelei when she is distracted by something she hears on the radio. Several people had gone missing recently and a number of criminals had somehow gotten out of both Arkham and Black Gate.

"Thank you.", Derek says and drives out of the warehouse and onto the road. He stops in an alleyway and gets out, knocking on a thick iron door. He yells something in Spanish and an old, short and round woman opens the door with a menacing stare. She yells back at him while waving her finger at him.

"Let me talk to him, come on!", Derek shouts as the old woman turns and closes the door. "God dammit, I can't believe it...". The door opens again and an elderly man with a thick beard and rather proud stature walks out. "Welcome back", the man says and eyes him, the truck and then sees Brass. "What can I help you with?"

"He needs some help disposing of something."

"Ah.", the man says, his eyes narrowing somewhat. He begins to nod. "I will take care of it."

"That takes care of that," Brass says.

"Yeah", Derek says and nods.

"Brass Williams", the old man says.

"I suppose my reputation precedes me," Brass says, eyeing Derek. "Yes?" She responds to this man.

"Just wanted to be sure. The old lady always reads from the entertainment magazines this brat sends her.", he says and eyes Derek before looking at Brass. He offers his hand. "You can call me Rai."

"Well, it's nice to meet you," Brass says, shaking his hand.


Soon after, Angelica tries to call Derek. "Come on, pick up, pick up pick up," she says repeatedly into the receiver.

Derek's receiver vibrates in his pocket. "We need to leave.", he says to the two. "See you at the end of the year", he says to Rai who nods solemnly, watching them leave. He answers the call. "Yes?"

"Derek, we've got problems. A lot of people have gone missing and a number of criminals are unaccounted for at both Black Gate and Arkham. There was no connection among any of the civilians or criminals, either. Most of them have never even been in the same room as one another for an extended period of time."

Derek sighs. "Must be that damn wizard...", he murmurs lowly. "Search for Ivan Card. I'll be back in a few hours..."
