Gotham City- 2100

Derek stood up and offered his hand. "I know very well of you, Ms. Williams, and your company. It's a nice to meet you in person"

Brass shakes his hand. "Yes, well I'm here myself, you see, because the recent criminal activity has been a bit off-putting on my company, as well as every other company in Gotham. You, however, have been hit the lightest. I was thinking that a collaboration between two of the most successful companies on the planet would help the dire situation. I have a few friends, as do you. To work together is ideal for us and them." She glances around the room for a moment.

There were many tribal masks up on the wall of his office. Derek observed her behaviour. Either she was distracted or simply hiding something from him. "I see. So the idea is to draw the fire over to my company?", he says with a lighthearted tone as if just joking a bit.

"Well, a little empathy goes a long way." Something about the atmosphere of the room had triggered something in her personality. She seemed less formal. "Remember how your mother would teach you to share growing up? Well the concept works pretty well here. If a temporary partnership works well, then by next year our companies will be pulling almost twice the amount of their current peak. So, do we have a deal?"

Derek arches and eyebrow noticing her sudden change. "As tempting as that is, Ms. Williams, my company is doing just fine. I'm one for making everyone satisfied with their position, financial or not, but..."

Brass then laughs inwardly a bit. "Tell you what. I'll let you think on it. I have about seven other meetings to get to today alone so if you come to a final decision, then feel free to contact me. See you later, tiger," she says as she leaves.

"...How about over dinner?", Derek offers.

Brass stops in the door. "I don't know. My nights are usually busy," Brass says, teasingly.

"Oh, please, Ms. Williams, I'm sure a longer session together would be just enough time to convince me otherwise", Derek says with an unwavering stature, smiling warmly at her, sounding nearly as teasing as her.

"If you insist," she says. "I'll be seeing you then, tiger."

"Looking forward to it", Derek says.

Brass then leaves the building.

Elsewhere in the city, Angelica and Lorelei grab a bit to eat at the diner as the sun begins to set.

Sever blocks away, at Gotham General, Hit-Man has fully awakened and is staring straight ahead at the ceiling, slowly losing his mind. In his head re frequent images of Batman. He begins to laugh to himself moments later.

Derek leaves the building and calls Angelica.

Angelica answers as Lorelei sips a strawberry smoothie. "Hello? Derek, that you?"

At the hospital, the doctors return to Hit-Man's room only to find him missing from his bed. He suddenly drops down on one doctor's head and twists his neck before throwing the other from the window and running off.

"Yeah, it's me. Just got off work. What're you guys up to?"

"We were just eating. I was going to do that thing we talked about when it got dark out."

"I'll meet you at home then. Does Lorelei have a cellphone?"

"That is an excellent questions," Angelica says, looking to Lorelei who holds up her cell. "Yeah, she has one."

"Functional? We both need to be able to reach her."

Lorelei nods while still sipping. Both girls then hear scream from outside. "What in god's name? Derek, I have to go. We'll see you tonight."

"Wait, what's going on- God dammit, Angelica", Derek growls running.

Angelica looks through the window to find several criminals, all armed, marching down the street. Many civilians are running from them as the streets lay in chaos. "Lorelei, stay here." Angelica then runs off. Lorelei's eyes narrow and she gets up, walking outside. She'd lost Angelica but the mayhem in the street was enough to keep her at bay.

Derek changes on the way, running over the rooftops, looking for signs of activity.

Bat-Girl drops on the head of one of the many gang members. He's a large guy with a massive firearm. He shoots and when she dodges it, the blast atomizes a car. "What in...". Bat-Girl then thrusts up and brings her elbow down on the goon's head, dropping him and seeing Batman as he approaches. "She's in the diner," she says. Sure enough, upon seeing Bat-Girl in action and later noticing the dark knight himself, Lorelei backs up, retreating back into the diner. Meanwhile, Bat-Girl picks up the blaster the goon had dropped. "Intergang?"

"Perhaps", Batman says knocking out a goon.
