Haven City

Jannelle finished her coffee and grabbed a whower before heading back to her appartment to get a new change of cloths.

"Yeah, but it's fine, I have the papers. I didn't really expect it to last all night."

James nodded driving. "Alright." He said pulling up to the gate leading into the base, showing his ID before being let in.

"Security is easy as that?" Jane asked. "Go figure."

"Well they know who I am." James said. "You wouldn't get in alone." He chuckled.

"I don't know about that.." Jane said, making herself, except her clothes and ribbon invisible.

James smirked at her as she reverted back to normal instantly. "Base has power negators, no powers can be used on base."

"Oh, bugger." Jane said, looking out the window.

James chuckled a little. "Well we can't have supervillains come in here and wipe out the military base."

"Where's the fun then?" She smiled.

"When we go out and kick their ass." James smiled.

"Oh, I get it now." Jane said, looking back out the window.

"Get what?" James asked.

"Nothing, it was just playful banter." Jane said, looking in the courtesy mirror, pulling the ribbon out and pulling her hair back, tying it back in again.

"Right." James said parking the car. "You look good by the way." He said getting out.

Jane smiled. "Thank you James." She got out. "Have to impress my future father-in-law."

James chuckled shutting the door. "Just stay close, don't want you getting hit on too much."

"I doubt that'll be a problem." Jane said, following him.

"You sure about that?" James said opening the door to the command building.

"I tried to dress conservatively." Jane said, although her black pencil skirt drew a bit short.

James smiled. "Jane...you're on a Marine Corps base and you're a attractive woman. Marines are gonna hit on you regardless." He chuckled.

Jane blushed and looked away, carrying her leather bag containing her calculations, among other things.

Jannelle pulled up to her office heading in.

James headed inside after her walking to the front desk. "Here to see General Miller."

"Ahh, yes Staff Sergeant he's expecting you." The clerk said. "Go on in."

Jane walked past the clerk behind James.
