The "New" Republic was supposed to be a sort of continuation of the original Galactic Republic that had become known as the Old Republic at that time. The New Republic was founded on the same principle that the old Galactic Republic was thousands of generations before—to have a representative parliamentary body govern the galaxy in a fair and equal manner—and it was designed to eradicate the shortcomings that brought about the Galactic Republic's downfall. The New Republic was protected by the New Jedi Order, which was established by Luke Skywalker, just as the Old Republic was once protected by the Old Jedi Order. The Capital of the Republic was Dac the homeworld of the Mon Calamari and Quarren until the Republic made it's push into the Galactic Core and seized most of the core, including Coruscant. The Republic is still young and is fighting the continuing battle for freedom against the Galactic Empire who still holds much of the galaxy. Military Republic Defense ForceAt the creation of the Republic, the former rebels' military consisted primarily of donated starships converted to military duty, volunteer resistance force fleets, and small number of vessels purchased with limited Rebel Alliance funds. During this period Admiral Ackbar coordinated the Fleet towards the Republic's primary goal: the capture of Coruscant and the Galactic Core. The Republic has since been organizing their armed forces into a more conventional and standardized force. The shipyards at Dac, Lantillies, Kar Shian, and Abhean have been at hard work constructing new ships for the Republic. Republic Defense Fleet- Spoiler:
MC80 Home One Type Mon Calamari CruiserClass: Star Cruiser Length: 1200 meters Hyperdrive Rating: Class 1, Class 10 Backup Armament: Turbolasers (40), Ion Cannon Batteries (20), Tractor Beam Projectors (6) Fighter Complement: 120 Starfighters Crew: 5,402 Passengers: 1200 (troops) Cargo Capacity: 12,000 Metric Tons Consumables: 1 year Roles: Command Ship, battleship, carrier Description: Admiral Gial Ackbar's flagship Home One is a one of a kind Mon Calamari Cruiser. It famously took part in the Battle of Endor being the lead ship of the Rebel Alliance Fleet during it's attack on the Second Death Star. It is slightly more heavily armed than the more common MC80 Liberty-Type Cruiser and also carries far more fighters. Admiral Ackbar to this day still uses the Home One as his flagship rather than the newer Endurance-Class Carrier. While Home One cannot go head to head against a Imperial-II Class Star Destroyer it carries more fighters and has strong enough shields to keep into the fight long enough for her fighter complement to make their attack runs. This ship has become a symbol for the Republic and is deemed to become a museum ship once it is finally decommissioned but knowing Admiral Ackbar's love for the vessel that will not be for some time. MC80 Liberty-Type Mon Calamari CruiserClass: Star Cruiser Length: 1200 meters Hyperdrive Rating: Class 1, Class 10 Backup Armament: Turbolasers (36), Ion Cannon Batteries (18), Tractor Beam Projectors (6) Fighter Complement: 36 Starfighters Crew: 5,402 Passengers: 1200 (troops) Cargo Capacity: 12,000 Metric Tons Consumables: 1 year Roles: Carrier, Destroyer Description: An early Mon Calamari design that was refitted for combat and pressed into service with the Rebel Alliance during the Galactic Civil War. These vessels while being inferior to the dedicated warships of the Galactic Empire gave the Rebel Alliance fleet a serious bite. A MC80 could not carry the same amount of fighters as a Imperial Star Destroyer, having only 36 in it's hangar compared to the 72 in a Star Destroyer, but the Alliance starfighters were more often than not hyperspace capable and so the Alliance would simply have their fighters drop out of hyperspace along with the MC80. While this could be taxing on the pilots who had to spend time more time in the cockpit than their Imperial counterparts it was a necessary measure. After the Battle of Endor the Republic began development and production of dedicated warships and the MC80s have been phased out by the newer Endurance-Class and Nebula-Class warships. Endurance-Class Fleet CarrierClass: Carrier Length: 1,040 meters Hyperdrive Rating: Class 1, Class 10 Backup Armament: Turbolasers (12), Ion Cannons ( 8 ), Laser Cannons (20), Tractor Beam Projectors (4) Fighter Complement: 120 (90 fighters, 30 fighter-bombers) Crew: 6,795 Passengers: 1,600 (troops) Cargo Capacity: 15,000 metric tons Consumables: 6 months Roles: Command Ship, Fleet Carrier Description: The Endurance-Class represents the Republics commitment to using starfighters in power projection. Designed to carry a large number of fighters into battle as the ships main armament. In a one on one encounter with an Imperial-II Class Star Destroyer the best strategy for these vessels is too keep out of firing range and to deploy it's superior number of fighters to engage the enemy TIE Fighters and attack the Star Destroyer itself with it's Y-Wings, B-Wings, or K-Wing bombers. The Endurance-Class has four hangar bays, one on it's starboard and portside to carry it's attack fighters, a doral hangar for deploying it's fighter-bombers, and a ventral hangar to deploy it's shuttles and troop transports from. A typical carrier will carry 45 X-Wing Fighters, 25 A-Wing Interceptors, 20 E-Wing Fighters, 15 Y-Wing Fighter-Bombers, 10 B-Wing Assault Fighters, and 5 K-Wing Assault Bombers. This blend of fighter craft gives an Endurance-Class an incredible amount of firepower and flexibility for the missions one would undertake. These ships are also designed as Fleet Command ships due their role in the rear of a battle it allows relative safety for a Republic Admiral while they coordinate their fleet during a battle. Nebula-Class Star DefenderClass: Star Destroyer, Battlecruiser, Capital Ship Length: 1,040 meters Hyperdrive Rating: Class 1, Class 10 Backup Armament: Heavy Dual Turbolasers (40), Turbolasers (40), Ion Cannons (20), Assault Concussion Missile Tubes (8 turreted; 30 missiles each), Tractor Beam Projectors ( 8 ) Fighter Complement: 60 fighters, 12 transports Crew: 6,795 Passengers: 1,600 (troops) Cargo Capacity: 15,000 metric tons Consumables: 6 months Roles: Destroyer, Battleship, Light Carrier Description: Designed to complement the Endurance-Class the Nebula-Class brings capital ship firepower to the Republic Defense Fleet. Designed to go toe to toe with the Star Destroyers of the Imperial Fleet. It does not carry as many starfighters as a Imperial-II but it does bring slightly more firepower than it's Imperial counterpart though the difference is negligible. Maintaining a similar dagger shape of Imperial ships the Republic designated them Star Defenders rather than Destroyers to distance themselves from the Empire and it's doctrine of fear. The dagger shape simply allows more firepower to be concentrated forward and for that reason the Republic adopted the shape as it moved away from the Mon Calamari starship designs. Nebulon-C Class Assault FrigateClass: Frigate Length: 700 meters Hyperdrive Rating: Class 2, Class 10 Backup Armament: Laser Cannons (15), Quad Laser Cannons (20), Turbolaser Batteries (15), Tractor Beam Projectors (4) Fighter Complement: 32 fighters, 6 transports Crew: 4,882 Passengers: 100 (troops) Cargo Capacity: 7,500 metric tons Consumables: 1.5 years Roles: Frigate Description: These assault frigates were based on the Nebulon-B Escort Frigates that saw use in both the Galactic Empire and the Rebel Alliance fleets. The Nebulon-C is a larger, more armored, and more powerful ship designed to support larger vessels like Mon Calamari starcruisers or the Endurance-Class and Nebula-Class warships. These vessels were developed and produced shortly after the Battle of Endor for the Rebel Alliance and were quickly absorbed into the Republic Defense Fleet when the new government was established. They are a frontline warship and form the backbone of the Republic Defense Fleet. EE76 Nebulon-B Escort FrigateClass: Frigate, Escort Ship Length: 300 meters Hyperdrive Rating: Class 2, Class 10 Backup Armament: Turbolasers (12), Laser Cannons (12), Tractor Beam projectors (2) Fighter Complement: 24 fighters, 6 transports Crew: 854 Passengers: 75 (troops) Cargo Capacity: 6,000 metric tons Consumables: 2 years Roles: Frigate, Escort Description: The EF76 was introduced as a counter-insurgency ship after the Clone Wars. It largely phased out the Class-C frigate. The Nebulon-B was originally designed to defend Imperial convoys against raids by Rebel starfighters, as the Imperial Navy wasn't keen on the idea of relegating its expensive Imperial-class Star Destroyers to escort duty, and the CR90 corvettes were too weak and carried few, if any, TIE Fighters. The EF76 was used extensively by both sides in the Galactic Civil War. The frigate was known and respected for its efficiency against fighters and bombers, and its anti-fighter assignment in Imperial convoys had an immediate impact, causing the Rebels to reconsider their hyperspace raids after suffering irreplaceable losses in fighters and pilots. They were also often used to support larger capital ships, such as Imperial-Class Star Destroyers and Rebel Mon Calamari Star Cruisers. After the founding of the Republic the EF76 still saw widespread usage in the Republic Defense Force and also led to the development of the RDF's Nebulon-C Frigate. CR90 Corellian CorvetteClass: Corvette Length: 150 meters Hyperdrive Rating: Class 2, Class 10 Backup Armament: Dual Turreted Turbolasers (2), Single Turreted Turbolasers (4) Fighter Complement: 3 A-Wings Crew: 30-165 depending on configuration Passengers: Up to 600 depending on configuration Cargo Capacity: 3000 Metric Tons Consumables: 1 year Roles: Corvette, Light Transport, Escort Description: The highly versatile multi-purpose CR90 has seen use as far back as 52BBY until today all across the galaxy. It earned the nickname "Blockade Runner" during the Galactic Civil War as it was used by the Rebel Alliance to shoot past Imperial Blockades and to evade Imperial Warships. These ships can be used as troop carrier, light escort, cargo transport, or even a passenger liner. The Republic Defense Fleet uses these ships to screen against enemy fighter attacks protecting larger vessels from massed fighter attacks. These ships could also mount up to 3 A-Wing starfighters onto it's external docking rings allowing these ships to have a small escort with them. The Jedi Order under Luke Skywalker has purchased many of these vessels as they have become very popular with the Jedi Knights in the Order to use during their missions across the galaxy. GR-75 Medium TransportClass: Transport Length: 90 meters Hyperdrive Rating: Class 4 Armament: Twin fire-linked laser cannons (4) Fighter Complement: N/A Crew: 7 standard, varies base on configuration Passengers: 90 Cargo Capacity: 19,000 Metric Tons Consumables: 1 year Roles: Fuel tanker, landing craft, fire ship, hospital ship, salvage ship supply ship Description: The GR-75 was the life blood of the Rebel Alliance Fleet and fills a critical role in the Republic Defense Fleet as well. The ships outer hull is like a shell with it's interior totally open for cargo. The Rebel Alliance and Republic have used this open design to install various types oh holds onto the ship, giving the ship the capability to act in a variety of roles from hospital ships to landing craft for ground forces. During the Battle of Endor these vessels were loaded with explosives and used as Fire Ships to ram enemy vessels and cause catastrophic damage to their targets. RM-10 Republic ShuttleClass: Shuttle Length: 20 meters Hyperdrive Rating: Class 1, Class 10 Backup Armament: Laser Cannons (2) Fighter Complement: N/A Crew: 30-165 depending on configuration Passengers: Up to 600 depending on configuration Cargo Capacity: 80 Metric Tons Consumables: 2 months Roles: Personal Shuttle, Troop transport, scout ship Description: The Republic's equivalent to the Imperial Lambda-Class T-4c Shuttle. The RM-10 is sleek and fast utility craft used by the Republic military as a transport for troops or cargo and as a personal shuttle for high ranking officials. One RM-10 Shuttle is specialized and designated as Republic One and is used to transport the Chancellor of the Republic around. Incom T-65 X-WingClass: Starfighter Length: 12.5 meters Hyperdrive Rating: Class 1 Armament: Laser Cannons (4), Proton Torpedo Launchers (2) Fighter Complement: N/A Crew: 2 (1 Pilot, 1 Astromech Droid) Passengers: None Cargo Capacity: 110 kilograms Consumables: 1 Week Roles: Superiority Starfighter, Escort Fighter Description: The infamous X-Wing, the fighter that killed the Death Star, an almost perfect balance of speed, maneuverability, and defensive shielding made if the fighter of choice for the Rebel Alliance and later the Republic. It formed the backbone of the Alliance Starfighter Corps and has become the main superiority fighter of the Republic. With it's strong shields it was able to take on the faster Imperial TIE fighter which was armed with very strong laser cannons for specifically shredding enemy fighters. The X-Wing proved able to hang around in a dogfight and with it's four laser cannons and powerful proton torpedos became one of the best all around fighters in the galaxy. RZ-1 A-Wing InterceptorClass: Starfighter Length: 6.48 meters Hyperdrive Rating: Class 1 Armament: Laser Cannons (2), Concussion Missile Launchers (2) Fighter Complement: N/A Crew: 1 Passengers: None Cargo Capacity: 40 kilograms Consumables: 1 Week Roles: Interceptor Description: The fastest mass produced starfighter in the galaxy only rivaled by the Galactic Empire's TIE-Interceptor and the Sith Empire's Supremacy-Class Starfighter. The A-Wing was developed from the Old Republic's Eta-2 Interceptors used during the Clone Wars. Armed with two laser cannons and concussions missiles the A-Wing is a deadly fighter interceptor and is one of the best fighters in the Republic arsenal. E-Wing Escort FighterClass: Escort Starfighter Length: 11.2 meters Hyperdrive Rating: Class 2 Armament: Laser Cannons (3), Proton Torpedo Launchers (1) Fighter Complement: N/A Crew: 2 (1 Pilot, 1 Astromech Droid) Passengers: None Cargo Capacity: 100 kilograms Consumables: 1 Week Roles: Recon, Escort Description: Designed to exceed the performance capability of the X-Wing in all aspects and to replace the X-Wing in the Republic military. The E-Wing is one of the best starfighters in the galaxy matching up with the Imperial TIE-Defender and Sith Supremacy-Class starfighter. However early on in it's deployment it experienced several issues with it's laser cannons and the new R7 Series of Astromech droids developed for the fighter. While these growing pains were sorted out the X-Wing continued to act as the Republic's main frontline fighter. Currently the E-Wing is slowly phasing the X-Wing out in front line units even if it will never achieve the fame of it's predecessor. BTL Y-Wing StarfighterClass: Assault Starfighter Length: 16 meters Hyperdrive Rating: Class 1 Armament: Laser Cannons (2), Ion Cannons (2), Proton Torpedo Launchers (2) Fighter Complement: N/A Crew: 2 (1 Pilot, 1 Astromech Droid) Passengers: None Cargo Capacity: 110 kilograms Consumables: 1 Week Roles: Assault Starfighter, Bomber, Escort, Scout Description: Affectionately known as a "wishbone" to Rebel Alliance and Republic pilots, the Y-wing starfighter was deployed as a fighter-bomber, designed to fight its way to its objective, deliver its payload of high explosives, and fight its way out again. The Y-Wing is an aging design that is slowly being phased out by the Republic Defense Fleet in favor of the B-Wing Heavy Assault Fighter. B-Wing Heavy Assault FighterClass: Assault Starfighter Length: 16.9 meters Hyperdrive Rating: Class 2 Armament: Light Ion Cannons (3), Heavy Laser Cannon (1), Laser Cannons (2), Proton Torpedo Launchers (2) Fighter Complement: N/A Crew: 1 Passengers: None Cargo Capacity: 45 kilograms Consumables: 1 Week Roles: Assault Starfighter, Bomber Description: One of the largest and most heavily armed starfighters in the Rebel Alliance and later the Republic's fleet. Designed to supplant the aging BTL Y-Wing starfighter in the heavy assault role against enemy capital ships as it had more weapons and better shields. However it is more expensive than the Y-Wing and the Rebel Alliance was never able to fully phase out the Y-Wing. Currently the Republic is slowly phasing out the Y-Wing though many are still in service. BTL-S8 K-Wing Assault FighterClass: Assault Starfighter Length: 16 meters Hyperdrive Rating: Class 2 Armament: Twin Laser Cannon turret (1), Short range quad turbolaser turret (1), Hardpoints (18: various payloads) Fighter Complement: N/A Crew: 4 Passengers: None Cargo Capacity: 45 kilograms Consumables: 1 Week Roles: Bomber, Reconnaissance, Escort, Gunship Description: Designed to serve as a heavy assault fighter even more potent than the B-Wing the K-Wing has recently entered service in the Republic Defense Fleet and has primarily seen action against the Sith Empire. With five hard points on each upper wing and four on each lower wing the starfighter has 18 hard points that could be outfitted with a wide variety of sublight torpedos and missiles and other weapons like repeater blasters or heavy slugthrowers. The K-Wing could also reduce speed and hover making it able to act as a close air support craft for Republic ground forces making it essentially a fighter-bomber and a gunship. Republic Army- Spoiler:
Republic TroopersThe successors to the brave men and women of the Rebel Alliance Army, the Republic Army is filled with highly motivated and well trained volunteers. Not a single soldier has been conscripted or cloned it is a fully volunteer force made up of various races in the galaxy. They are equipped with highly protective body armor made of plastoid plates like those used in Stormtrooper Armor, blast helmets similar to those used by the Alderaanian Defense Force, and their standard blaster rifle is the A280 Blaster Rifle. All in all the Soldiers of the Republic Army are a dedicated, well trained fighting force. Republic Infiltrators Elite special forces soldiers trained heavily in stealth, hand to hand, marksmanship, and black operations. They are often used to penetrate enemy lines and sabotage enemy positions, rescue prisoners of war, assassinate key enemy targets, and provide long range force reconnaissance for the Republic. Mobquet RA-12 Speeder BikeClass: Speeder Bike Length: 4.4 meters Maximum Speed: 530km/h Armament: Light laser cannon (1) Crew: 1 Passengers: none Cargo Capacity: 4 kilograms Consumables: 1 Day Roles: Reconnaissance, Infantry Support Description: An extremely fast vehicle, able to run circles around other craft. Armed with a single laser cannon it did not have much in the way offensive firepower. As such these bikes were used in a similar role as the Imperial 74-Z. They were used as rapid insertion vehicles, for patrolling areas, and for use by Republic soldiers in the field as a reconnaissance vehicle. T2-B Repulsor TankClass: Repulsorcraft, Light Tank Length: 9 meters Maximum Speed: 80km/h Armament: Quad Light Blaster Cannon Crew: 3 Passengers: none Cargo Capacity: 200 kilograms Consumables: 1 Week Roles: Recon, Infantry Support Description: The tank's repulsorlifts allowed it to travel over any form of terrain, even making the transition from water to land with relative ease. The T2-B carried a sophisticated sensor system, making it a valuable scouting vehicle for air assaults and similar long-range attacks. But, being armed only with four rapid fire-linked lasers, made the repulsor tank a weak attack vehicle when compared to the AT-AT walkers of the Imperial Army. However, it did have deflector shields, which allowed some lasting power while under enemy fire. It countered infantry very well because its shield was strong enough to deflect the majority of small blaster fire, and its rapid fire cannons could make short work of the majority of infantry. T4-B Main Battle TankClass: Main Battle Tank Length: 10 meters Maximum Speed: 60km/h Armament: Medium Laser Cannons (2), Concussion Missile Launchers (3) Crew: 3 Passengers: none Cargo Capacity: 300 kilograms Consumables: 1 Week Roles: Heavy Assault, Infantry Support Description: The vehicle, along with the T2-B repulsor tank, was one of many new designs acquired by the Alliance during a raid on an Aridus manufacturing plant, and was among heaviest armored units used by the Rebels during the course of the Galactic Civil War. After the formation of the Republic the T4-B became the Main Battle Tank of the Republic Defense Force and was put into mass production for use by the Republic Army. The T4-B is one of few land vehicles that has seen success against the Imperial AT-AT. While not able to challenge an AT-AT alone, three or four T4-Bs can use their superior maneuverability and low profile to run and hide while bringing their strong laser cannons to bear on the larger walker. As such T4-Bs never operate alone. T1-U Armored Personnel Carrier Class: Armored Personnel Carrier Length: 6.7 meters Maximum Speed: 97km/h Armament: Medium Laser Cannons (2), Concussion Missile Launchers (3) Crew: 3 Passengers: 15 Cargo Capacity: 300 kilograms Consumables: 1 Week Roles: Infantry Support, Troop Transport, Command Vehicle, Reconnaissance Description: The T1-U APC is a reliable and durable ground vehicle. Able to take a hit from nearly anything short of an AT-AT and keep on churning it carries a group of soldiers around the battlefield and deploys them into combat via a door ramp in the rear of the vehicle. The vehicle can also be loaded out for roles as a Command Vehicle, a Recon craft, and for just hauling cargo as well. Mobile Proton Torpedo Launcher-2aClass: Medium MPTL Crawler Length: 27 meters Maximum Speed: 40km/h Armament: Proton Torpedo Launcher (9 Tubes) Crew: 3 Passengers: Spotter Droids (2) Cargo Capacity: 600 kilograms Consumables: 1 Week Roles: Artillery, Anti-Air Description: The Mobile Proton Torpedo Launcher-2a—also called the MPTL-2a—was a medium mobile proton torpedo launcher crawler artillery platform that could fire proton warheads from a nine-tubed launch assembly deployed from its armored shell. Used by the Rebel Alliance and later the New Republic to rain down artillery fire providing fire support for ground forces and to provide anti-air cover as it's Proton Torpedos could lock onto enemy aircraft and knock them out of the sky. RUV-13 Assault DropshipClass: Transport Length: 17 meters Maximum Speed: 620km/h Armament: Twin Light Laser Cannon (1), Laser Cannon (1), Light Laser Cannon Turret (1) Crew: 3 Passengers: 30 Cargo Capacity: 17 Metric tons Consumables: 1 Week Roles: Air Reconnaissance, Troop Transport, Infantry Support, Utility Craft Description: Designed to bring troops and supplies to and from battlefields the RUV-13 is a workhorse of the Republic Army. It was designed for use by Rebel Alliance but was adopted by the Republic once the Battle of Endor was won. While the Republic primarily uses the K-Wing as a gunship the RUV-13 fills the roles of troop and supply transport but it can lay down close air support when needed. T-47 AirspeederClass: Airspeeder Length: 5.3 meters Maximum Speed: 110km/h Armament: Harpoon Gun (1), Laser Cannon (2) Crew: 2 Passengers: none Cargo Capacity: 10 kilgrams Consumables: 5 days Roles: Air Reconnaissance, Patrol, Air Assault Description: The Incom Corporation's T-47 was modified by the Rebel Alliance technicians into a patrol and combat craft from a cargo handling airspeeder. The Rebels armed the craft with dual AP/11 dual laser cannons and converted the cargo manager into a gunner. Computerized targeting systems and displays were used by the gunner to control the lasers and harpoon gun. However, the pilot could take control of weapons if needed. Since the speeder lacked shields, armor plating was added to the hull. An advanced power plant and repulsorlift engines were installed to compensate for the added weight of armor and weapons. Its small size, maneuverability and speed allowed the ship to dodge weapons fire. The T-47 is still in use by the Republic Army to this day due to it's effectiveness against AT-AT walkers used by the Imperial Remnant.

The Jedi Knights, reduced in number to only a handful, were slowly restored, primarily under the leadership of Luke Skywalker, son of the former Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker. The Jedi Order has since been growing in numbers as more Force Sensitive people join the Jedi Order from all over the galaxy. With the Republic sponsoring the Jedi Order they have been able to identify Force Sensitive with ease. The teachings of the New Order differed from those of the Old in several ways, and were closer to those practiced by the Jedi before the Great Sith War. Jedi were allowed to marry and have families, and each Jedi Master could train multiple apprentices. Jedi were allowed to use conventional weapons and armor besides their lightsabers, and the wearing of the Jedi robes, while popular, was no longer mandatory. For a long time, the Order was also much less centrally controlled, with each Jedi being given much greater personal freedom and responsibility. A handful of Jedi who survived Order 66 and the Jedi Purge following the Clone Wars have resurfaced to join with the new Order, such as Davik Tay'lon. Jedi PraxeumAfter the founding of the New Jedi Order by Luke Skywalker they needed a place to train and serve as their headquarters. Leia Organa Solo recommended The Great Temple on Yavin IV. Luke agreed that Yavin 4 was the perfect location. He decided to set it up in the Great Temple that housed the earlier Alliance base. Internally, the Praxeum made use of the four level design of the Great Temple, with each floor making up a step of the ziggurat. Thus, all floors were based on similar plans with small cells, chambers and corridors around a large central space.The topmost level, was almost entirely taken up by the Grand Audience Chamber, used as a ceremonial hall by the Alliance garrison and later employed by the Jedi Academy as a teaching space. The next level was converted entirely to accommodations for the Jedi Masters and their students; with any extra space being used for storage. On the level below, the central chamber was named the Strategy Center, with the surrounding rooms on this level, used as meeting-rooms, communications and computing bays, kitchens and dining halls.The lowest level of the temple continued to serve as a vast hangar bay to store starfighters and other vehicles; with a second hangar beneath, plus cellars and catacombs that remained largely unused. Access to the hangar was by a set of ground-level blast-doors, opening out onto a landing pad. After the Galactic Civil War the average ground level around the structure's exterior had risen, so that the main entrance was at War Room level, and many of the students thought of the entire hangar complex as being essentially underground. The Jedi Praxeum, wherever it was, tended to be a base of operations for the Jedi, and often a home when they were not performing other jobs for Master Skywalker or going about their personal lives. Near the Praxeum the Republic maintained a small base garrisoned by a mechanized infantry battalion and a starfighter squadron to aid in the defense of the Jedi Praxeum should Yavin IV ever come under attack.

Admiral Gilad Pellaeon took command of the Imperial military following the disaster of Endor however many Imperial Admirals and Moffs began petty infighting which hampered Pellaeon's efforts to defeat the New Republic during it's first days. Admiral Pellaeon brilliantly commanded Imperial forces when the Republic fleet commanded by Gial Ackbar began it's offensive to capture the Deep Core, namely the world Coruscant. However Pellaeon's efforts were again hampered by infighting and between various Imperial commanders. When Coruscant fell Pellaeon relocated the Imperial leadership and the Council of Moffs to Bastion. Pellaeon continued the war effort but any unity in the Imperial forces was thrown aside as various Admirals and Moffs carved out their own territories ruling as warlords forsaking Pellaeon and the Moffs still loyal to Palpatine's Empire. Grand Admiral Thrawn however would return from the Unknown Regions and joined his fleet with that of Pellaeon's and took command of the Imperial Remnant. Thrawn then set about unifying the various Imperial Warlords again and killed those who would not follow. The Imperial Remnant was once again a driving force with a goal and it reclaimed many lost systems that had fallen to the Galactic Republic. The Remnant adhered to the tenets of the former Galactic Emperor Palpatine's New Order, but have moved away from the Humanocentric views of Palpatine's Empire and have also abolished Slavery, which in turn led to more people joining Imperial Military seeing the Empire as a force for Order rather than siding with the upstart "New Republic". The Galactic Empire still holds many key worlds in the galaxy and continues to build up it's powerful fleet from shipyards at Kuat, Fondor, and Sullust. Military Imperial MilitaryThe Imperial Remnant's military is made up of the forces from the Galactic Empire from when Palpatine was Emperor. As such it fields Star Destroyers, TIE Fighters, AT-ATs, Stormtroopers, and other Imperial weapons. The Imperial Military is a mighty force to be reckoned with, still larger than it's Republic counterpart it does however lack the quality officers of the Republic as many Imperial officers defected after the destruction of Alderaan by the first Death Star. The gravity wells mimicked a large mass in space and thus restricted hyperspace travel. Currently the Mandalorians have been expanding again, they control the entire Mandalore Sector again and have been pushing into neighboring sectors attacking both the New Republic and the Imperial Remnant. Military Mandalorian MilitaryThe Mandalorian Military is comprised of the various Mandalorian Clans, with Mandalorian Warriors forming the back bone of the ground forces. IG-500 Sith War DroidThe IG-500 droids were designed by Holowan Mechanicals in secret for the Dark Lord of the Sith, Darth Maeror. Designed to be more effective and dangerous than the IG-100 Magnaguards used by the CIS during the Clone Wars. The IG-500s were built to be used as advanced training droids for the Sith Order and as attack droids for the Sith Empire, devastating against conventional soldiers and capable of hunting down and killing Jedi. Blood WraithThe Blood Wraiths are bio-weapons developed by the Sith Empire. They were once living beings, people but through Sith Sorcery and genetic manipulation by Sith Scientists they created these gauntish nightmarish creatures. With claws able to tear apart organic people with ease. They can sense people through the force making them incredibly hard to shake off and have senses fare more powerful than a human. They are also incredibly strong and fast able to run at speeds faster than most land speeders. They are Sanguinivores and Forcivores meaning while they have sharp and jagged teeth they are merely weapons. They feed on the blood of their prey and on their connection to the Force, making Force Sensitives like Jedi extremely desirable prey to them. The Sith Empire deploys them into areas to cleanse them of a population without having to blast an area into nothingness. They will kill anything that is alive even Sith Forces. Sith Warriors are taught a Force Technique unique to the Order of Sith Lords to control them so they do not attack them. Sith TroopersThe faceless elite soldiers of the Sith Empire. Armed with blaster rifles, blaster pistols, thermal detonators, concussion grenades, and equipped with stark white armor these troopers enforce and spread the ideology of the Sith Order throughout the galaxy. The Sith Military makes use of birth born recruits (both human and non human now) and clones grown from various genetic donors. Casting aside Darth Bane's "Rule of Two" which only allowed for two Sith at any given time "a Master and an Apprentice". The Order of Sith Lords followed the "Rule of the Strong" forged by Darth Maeror, only the strongest could lead but there would be many Sith Lords and even more Sith Warriors and Sith Apprentices. The Order of Sith Lords is governed by the Dark Council, a group of 12 Sith Lords who serve as advisors to the reigning Dark Lord of the Sith. The second highest position in the Order of Sith Lords is the War Master who heads the Sith Council when the Dark Lord of the Sith is not able and who is the Supreme Commander of the Sith Empire's military forces acting also as the Empire's Minister of War. The War Master only answers to the Dark Lord of the Sith. Another very important position is the High Inquisitor. The High Inquisitor oversees the Sith Inquisition which is present all over Sith Space rooting out enemies of the Empire and locating Force-sensitives to be trained as Sith or to be killed in order to keep future enemies from arising. The High Inquisitor is the third highest ranking member of the Sith Empire. The Sith have been recruiting from all over the galaxy since their founding some time ago by Darth Maeror and many Warriors have been trained with more and more joining as Apprentices. | |

It's a 36-meter YV-664 class light freighter, modified by Kitty in a number of ways. The key differences between it and its standard model are its targeting system, hyperdrive, armaments, cockpit, and shielding. The YV-664 generally comes with two standard laser cannons. However, Kitty's modification sacrificed one cannon in exchange for a more powerful main gun. One that can fire a short bursts or a consistent particle beam that can shred through shields and make sure any military-class vessel is going to have a bad day. Particularly as the weapon can be fired in spite of tractor beams. To make up for the reduction of high grade weaponry, Kitty outfitted the ship with fighter-class ordinance launchers, armed with Proton-torpedoes. Kitty outfitted the previously Class-2 hyperdrive of the Raptor to class 0.5, makings its hyperdrive jump as fast as the Millennium Falcon. The YV-664 generally requires a pilot and co-pilot. However, the cockpit has been modified to require only one. This is largely meant to accommodate for Kitty's dislike of having other people in the cockpit to distract her. As such, Kitty is generally the only one really able to fly the ship because she is doing the work of two people, which she's mastered from years of practice, piloting her and Cairn's old ship when it was just the two of them and Cairn always manned the guns. Speaking of guns, the Raptor's targeting system isn't entirely automatic. Unlike traditional targeting systems, the Raptor's armaments, barring its ordinance launchers, use an analog setup that resembles a shooting simulation. Targets picked up by the system appear on a screen and whoever mans the guns has to aim a blaster-like targeting device at the target, pulling a trigger to fire. The last of Kitty's improvements come in the form of the ship's shielding, which is greatly improved over its original model. The Raptor boasts high performance deflector shields of both Ray and Particle variety, allowing it to weather some serious damage. As opposed to the previous shields, which were of lower grade. The Raptor also sports a powerful tractor beam.

Each clan with the families was headed by leaders known as Aristocra who wore particular colors to indicate their clan and family loyalties. Standard and day-to-day decisions were made by a democratically elected parliamentary body from each of the 28 colonies. Issues were siphoned up through the parliament to a cabinet of appointed governors, and then to the ruling families, where a decision made by the parliament and/or cabinet could be approved for action. Each of the extended ruling families was responsible for a set of government affairs to manage: House Sabosen was responsible for social issues such as justice, health, and education; House Inrokini was responsible for industry and science; House Csapla was responsible for colonial affairs, agriculture, and redistribution of resources; and House Nuruodo was responsible for military and foreign affairs. The Csapla's redistribution of resources amongst the Chiss colonies and Csilla was particularly important, given the collectivist-socialist economic system of the Chiss, and led to their relative position at the head of the families, with the others acting in an advisory role. House Nuruodo would be ranked as second, considering the importance of warfare on Chiss society. Each family was equally represented in the Chiss government, although they went to great lengths to ensure that family identity was eliminated wherever possible. The leaders of the Chiss did not use names, but instead wore colorful robes to distinguish themselves. This helped ensure that decisions were reached in a fair and equitable method. Although the four extended ruling families were not known to face power struggles, five lesser clans often vied for greater authority and power, such as House Chaf, which was considered the fifth ruling family. The vast financial holdings of the Chiss kept their supply lines running and also provided them access to a number of independent shipyards which they used to keep their vessels on constant patrol. It was through such methods that the Chiss maintained a poacher base at the Etyyy hunting grounds on Kashyyyk. The Chiss maintained diplomatic relations with the Galactic Republic and during the Clone Wars they brokered treaties with both the Republic and the Confederacy to remain neutral in the conflict. When the Empire arose the Ascendancy and the Empire maintained a non-aggression treaty with one another and later came closer becoming friendly as both governments were rigid and ordered. When the Empire fractured and the new Republic rose the Galactic Civil War only grew and the Ascendancy opened talks again with the Imperial Remnant and the New Republic and maintained their neutrality. On the fringes of their space they have been skirmishing with a unknown force, one seemingly more powerful than the Empire or the Republic. Chiss belief in rigid discipline was further seen within their armed forces and they made use of superior technology when required in order to hold enemy forces at bay.
