"I am, I hope that is not a problem. I'd also like to recruit you, but not you if you understand what I mean."

"The other me." Batman said.

"yes" Edgar said "though if you don't want to give up the cowl I understand. I trusted Derek to carry on the legacy and he trusts you. If you want to continue as Batman I'll tell you the same thing I told him, I'll be watching and the second I think you are no longer suited to wear that symbol I will take it from you."

Batman chuckled. "I don't want to wear this suit, I'm doing it because Gotham and the world needs Batman and Derek can't do that right now. Trust me I'd much rather be wearing my black and blue."

"Then where the black and blue" Edgar said "Lead the Birds of Prey as Nightwing and let a Wayne once more be Batman."

Batman stroked his chin. "I'd have to think about it, Derek handed me the cowl because he trusted me. I can't just hand it over without his blessing. Even to a Wayne."

A mobster walks into the place of a meeting, only to discover that the rest of the bosses in the meeting are dead. One's face has been melted with acid, one's throat is slit, a few have been shot up. "Who the hell?" The phone rings. He and his bodyguards make their way over. He picks it up. "H-hello?"

"Is this Mister Vega?" a twisted voice says from the other end. "I regretfully inform you that your meeting has been cancelled."

"Who is this? So's I can know who to send my boys after.

The voice on the other end snickers. "I tell you what. For being such a good sport about this whole thing, I'll...give you a clue." The man disconnects.

"Of course" Edgar said

"It seems someone else has already taken out the rest of the competition. I'm not sure if I should be worried or grateful. What do you think Gentoo?"
"I think this guy saved you some time and manpower."
"That they did" Emperor Penquin smiled

Vega drops the phone and turns around to see HAHAHA spray painted on the wall.

Derek sits inside his flat going over documents from work.

A figure watches as Vega leaves the meeting place in a panic.


Someone knocks on Derek's door. "Sir. A delivery for you. Anonymous sender."

"Come in and leave it on the table.", Derek says, focused on the documents.

The assistant walks in and sets down a small assortment of flowers on the table with a card reading 'Get well soon, tiger.' on it. "Also, sir, a call for you. Line 3."

Derek stares at the card before realising he might've been staring too long. "Ah, alright. I'll take it in here. Thank you.", he says and waits until his assistant leaves before answering the call. "Derek Wilson speaking."

"Twinkle, twinkle, little bat. How I wonder what you're at," the voice on the other end sings, eerily, intercutting with laughter. "Up above the world you fly. Like a killjoy in the sky." Again, laughter.

"I'm afraid you might've called the wrong number. I don't recall requesting a nursery rhyme reciting.", Derek says while slowly moving his hand across his desk, pressing a button next to the machine to track the call.

The phone shrieks feedback in Derek's ear over the sound of further laughter until the caller hangs up. The trace comes up as having been made near the power plant.

Derek cancels the call and then opens up a safe channel before contacting Angelica. "Angie, I just got an anonymous call. I'll send you a recording of the conversation. The call was made from near the power plant. It appears someone might know a bit too much."

"I know," Angelica says. "I'm looking into it, but don't worry too much. You weren't the only one who got that call. In the past ten minutes it's gone out to a number of other philanthropist types and rich folk. All prime candidates for...you know. All the same, I'm making sure it...Derek...isn't this the power plant where Clue..."

"It is.", Derek says. "That's why I was worried. Even if he's just 'fishing' for the right man, he might just as well be prepared to do something similar to fishing with dynamite and target everyone he has called. Literally. Nothing would surprise me.", he says. "I can't do anything there, Angie, and I can't let you go there on your own-"

"And you intend to send me with someone?"

"Just let Joseph know, alright? Unless you've already informed him. Which wouldn't surprise me."

"Had no intention of it. I can handle Clue. But if you're really that worried, I'll see if I can get in touch."

"Good. Or I will.", Derek says. "Good luck."

Batman nodded. "I'll contact you once I've spoken with him." He said heading to the edge of the building.
