| Either works. A more experienced lantern could give Angelica some guidance. The Supergirl character is a descendant of Superman. Either is a cool idea. | |

| Thus far I have Supergirl, Bat-Girl, and a Lantern. Anyone's free to take up Superman (The current one, anyway), Supergirl's dad. I don't really want the responsibility of controlling HIM haha.
I also may send Lantern out into space so I can focus a bit more on the Earthbound heroes. If I was going to use anyone new it'd be Wonder-Woman because she's the one I'm least familiar with really. Give me a chance to stretch my wings a bit.

- I've come to the conclusion that the idea of Batman seeking for a successor is not really going to work, instead I think the best way to go is to make Batman an urban legend. I've reworked the history I did early keeping the idea of Batman being passed from father to son within the Wayne family as well as redoing the timeline.
The first batman was a knight named Sir Arthur Wayne during the middle ages and his squire, Robert Kane, served as the first robin though at the time they went by Bat Knight and Squire Robin until Robert achieved knighthood and he changed his name to Falcon Knight. The second Batman was Arthur's son and from this point on the mantle of Batman was passed from father to son throughout the ages with the son usually serving as Robin before taking over for his father. In the 50's and 60's Thomas Wayne protected Gotham as Batman alongside his wife, Martha (Kane) Wayne, who followed in the footsteps of her great grandmother as Batwoman. The two had a son, Bruce, who would soon be joining them as Robin. Unfortunately this did not happen due to their murders at the hand of Joe Chill, a hit man hired by the mob bosses of Gotham to take out the Wayne's. In their civilian life Thomas and Martha were causing the mobs all kinds of trouble with their charities, foundations, and other projects that gave the people of Gotham hope that their city could become something other than a crime city while as Batman and Batwoman the two constantly interfered with mob business. The bosses found out that the Wayne's were connected to the Bat's and hoped that by killing them they'd be rid of the Bat's for good. Bruce's being there to witness his parent's murder was a mistake, one that would cost the bosses later in their lives. Bruce was a reclusive kid the first few years after his parent's death that rarely socialized with anyone other than Alfred. Then one day he seemed happier and more social. The reason for this change was he finally realized what he had to do- become a greater crime fighter than Batman or Batwoman (whom he blamed for his parents death) ever was. To accomplish this he traveled the world learning everything he thought might help him. When he returned he was ready to start his career and went out at night in a ski mask taking down criminals. He eventually came to the conclusion that he needed something more, something that would not only make the criminals he brought down afraid of him but frighten others who would dare consider committing a crime in his city. He finds that something when he hears a noise in his parent's room, which he hasn't been in since their deaths, and sees a bat trying to get out. Bruce is reminded of the time he fell into a cave as a kid and was scared by the bats inside. As he lets the bat out he catches a glimpse of a journal and decides to read through it discovering the truth about his parents. When he questions Alfred about it he learns the truth of the Batman Legacy and decides to carry on the family tradition. After fighting crime on his own for so long Bruce decides to take on a young partner- Dick Grayson. He took the young circus star in after his parent's were killed for not going along with the mob. Dick not only becomes his trusted partner in fighting crime but part of his family when Bruce adopts him as his son. It is not long before the two are joined by Batwoman and eventually Bat-Girl in their war against crime. Shortly after the retirement of Batwoman and Bat-Girl a new Batgirl joins them. At 21 Dick has decided it’s time for him to leave Bruce and start his own career as a hero, he takes on the name Nightwing and relocates to Bludhaven. Bruce takes on Jason Todd, a former circus acrobat like Dick that had been living on the streets for the last few years as Robin. Jason was more aggressive than Dick as Robin and would often rush ahead of Bruce into situations, sometimes ruining weeks of careful planning. Jason served as Robin for two years before being beaten to death by Joker. He returned a few months later having been revived as a result of a cataclysmic even caused by an alternate version of Superboy. It would take Bruce a year before he took on a new Robin, but only after Tim Drake had deduced Batman’s true identity and convinced Bruce that Batman needs a Robin. In that year Jason regained his memories with the help of Talia Al Ghul, daughter of Ra’s Al Ghul, one of Batman’s greatest foes. He learned that his death had gone un-avenged and set out to get revenge against Bruce. To do this he took on the name of Red Hood starting his career as a villain. After Bruce’s death the mantle of Batman became open and Tim briefly took over the role before having it taken from him by Jason. After a grueling battle Dick claims the role of Batman from Jason who returns to going by the Red Hood Believed that Batman must always have a Robin, Dick offers the mantle to Damien who gladly takes it believing it is a title that should have been his to begin with as the son of true son of Bruce while Tim starts calling himself Red Robin and sets out to prove that Bruce isn’t dead. Eventually Tim is proven right when Bruce returns from the time stream in which he was trapped in time to stop Dr. Hurt from further damaging his family name. Bruce chose to let Dick continue as Batman believing there was room and need in the world for more than one. Bruce also starts Batman Incorporated and uses this to establish a program to ensure there would always be a Wayne to serve as Batman. Dick would eventually give up as Batman and return to going by Nightwing leaving Bruce to carry on as the only Batman in Gotham Years later Bruce would finally give up the cape and cowl passing the title once more to Dick. Dick would pass the mantel to Damien five years later to raise his family with Barbara, who eventually takes over her father’s role of commissioner in the GCPD. Some time in the future, during a battle with Two Face Two, Damien rescues a young Terry McGinnis (a descendant of Bruce thanks to the program he established years earlier), who he later mentors as the new Batman. Terry would retire as the last Batman.
The first Batwoman was a woman named Evelyn Kane that lived during the 19th century. She fought predominantly for the woman's suffrage movement in the U.S., coming into conflict the Batman of that day as much as she did help him. After the passing of the 19th amendment she continued to fight for the underprivileged. Years later her great granddaughter, Martha Wayne would take up the mantle of Batwoman and fight crime alongside her husband. Her career was cut short when she was murdered outside a theater. Batwoman would not die with her though as years later a distant cousin of hers, Catherine Kane, would take up the mantle and help Batman and Robin fight crime in Gotham. Like Batman, Batwoman would take on a young sidekick, her niece Bette (Betty) Kane, the first Bat-Girl. The two would eventually retire, Catherine because she believed the boys could handle it without her and Bette because her crime fighting was interfering with her social life. Bette would later try her hand at hero again as Flamebird partnering up with Dick from time to time While Batwoman would not be seen again for many years there were several more who took on the mantle of Batgirl. The second Batgirl was the daughter of Commissioner Jim Gordon. She fought along Batman and Robin for years before being shot and paralyzed by Joker. Not letting this slow her down she started going by the name Oracle and created Birds of Prey. As Oracle she provided Batman with information and tech support as well as serving as the mentor to Stephanie Brown. The third Batgirl was Helena Bertenelli who was eventually forced to abandon the mantle by Batman and returned to her former name of Huntress. Following her was the daughter of assassin David Cain who gained the approval of both Barbara and Bruce to carry on as Batgirl. She would eventually give up her role of Batgirl and become head of the League of Assassins. Upon Bruce's 'death' she handed her title over to Stephanie Brown adopting a new title- Black Bat. Stephanie Brown, the fourth person to be Batgirl, started out as the heroine Spoiler and fought to thwart her father the Cluemaster. As spoiler she developed a relationship with Robin (Tim Drake) and fought alongside him, Batman and Batgirl (Cassandra Cain) from time to time before becoming the new Robin when Tim took a leave from the role. She is the second Robin to die though her death was later revealed to have been faked. She returned later as Spoiler once more connecting with Tim and Batman fighting crime. She would be given the mantle of Batgirl by her predecessor on orders from Bruce and as Batgirl she would be mentored by Barbara and assisted by Barbara’s protégée- Proxy, the daughter of the villain Calculator. The second woman to claim the title of Batwoman was a distant relative of Catherine Kane, Kate Kane. Unlike her predecessor she does not work alongside Batman too often. She did work with Oracle on occasion and more frequently with the Question. She would eventually retire from crime fighting and allow Stephanie to assume the role as Batwoman. Stephanie would retire as both the last person to be known as Batgirl and Batwoman.
Over the years stories of the Bat Family (Batman, Robin, Nightwing, Red Robin, Batgirl, and Batwoman) have become urban legends that few believe in. A museum dedicated to keeping the memory of Gotham City’s greatest protector alive has been built but many believe the objects inside linked to the legend are not real.
1950-Bruce Wayne is born 1952- Catherine Kane is born 1962- Thomas and Martha Wayne are murdered 1963- Richard Grayson. Kate Kane and Barbara Gordon are born 1964- Bruce begins training to be a crime fighter and starts cultivating his playboy, party animal persona; Bette Kane is Born 1966- Bruce starts his crime fighting career. 1967- Bruce learns of his family legacy and takes on the identity of Batman. 1968- Jason Todd is born 1974- Timothy Drake, Stephanie Brown and Cassandra Cain are born 1975- Bruce takes in Dick Grayson as his ward and his partner in crime fighting, Robin; Catherine Kane starts her career as Batwoman 1976- Catherine takes on her niece, Bette Kane, as her partner Bat-Girl; Bruce adopts Dick. 1979- Damien Wayne is born 1980- Catherine and Bette retire as Batwoman and Bat- Girl 1981- Barbara Gordon takes on identity of Batgirl 1984- Dick becomes Nightwing; Bruce takes on Jason Todd as his new Robin 1985- Bette Kane returns to crime fighting as Flamebird 1986- Jason Todd is killed; Barbara becomes paralyzed 1987- Bruce takes on Tim Drake as Robin; Barbara changes her name to Oracle and starts Birds of Prey 1988- The heroine Huntress briefly goes by Batgirl; Jason Todd is revealed to be alive and becomes the Red Hood 1989- Cassandra Cain begins her career as Batgirl and Stephanie Brown starts her career as Spoiler 1991- Tim’s father is killed and a few months later Bruce adopts him and Cassandra 1992- Stephanie Brown takes over as Robin and is killed the same year; Tim returns as Robin 1993- Stephanie Brown returns as Spoiler 1994- Kate Kane begins her career as Batwoman 1996- Batman is assumed dead when he becomes lost in the time stream; Dick takes over as Batman; Tim changes his name to Red Robin; Stephanie becomes Batgirl; Cassandra changes name to Black Bat; Damien Wayne becomes the new Robin 1997- Bruce returns and starts Batman Incorporated 1998- Dick returns to going by Nightwing leaving Bruce as the only Batman in Gotham 2008- Dick and Barbara get married; Kate retires as Batwoman 2009- Stephanie starts calling herself Batwoman; Bette retires as Flamebird 2010- Bruce retires as Batman passing the mantle to Dick once more 2015- Dick retires as Batman and passes the mantle to Damien 2020- Terry McGinnis is born 2024- Tim retires as Red Robin; Cassandra retires as Black Bat; Stephanie retires as Batwoman 2040- Damien passes the Batman mantle to Terry 2070- Terry retires as Batman 2100 (present day)- Gotham City opens the Museum of the Bat showcasing various objects supposedly used by Batman and his associates.
So I'd just thought of a few possible ways to follow it all up as to why Terry didn't just pass it on to his descendant(s). Simplest response being that he had none. Terry could have retired as Batman simply because he felt it was time to. He had no descendants because (Insert Woman's Name Here) was killed while carrying the child and she was killed by the then Joker. This provoked Terry who nearly broke the one rule of Batman in his rage. Following this, Terry went into a much more depressive, brooding state and retired, giving up on Batman. But the city continued to decline. Terry eventually decided that the world NEEDED a Batman and he himself put the plans in motion for the Batman Museum to be built. There he met Derek if only for a minute, seeing the torture within him and seeing the desire welling up within. He subliminally plants the thought of becoming the next Batman in Derek's head and viola. The answer for Pryde's Wayne descendant, as Pryde explaine before, is rather simple. Bruce froze his sperm and, knowing Damien, he probably did too. Pryde's could be a descendant of THEM who later takes over the company, believing himself the rightful heir and etc yadda yadda. To accompany that, though, I was working on a few other timelines just for fun the other day (Specifically the Green Lantern Corps, Wonder Woman and something of a vague detail on Superman just in order to explain the existence of the new Super-Girl) I'll type them up later but they aren't really all concrete. They're just possible timelines.

| I'll take up the mantle of the man of steel haha but he'll be more of a side character.
I could make a more experienced Gold Lantern to help your character out if you want, not problem doing that.

| Well there's only one Gold Lantern ring so far but Green Lantern rings can make other Green Lantern rings right? I could have it spawn another one and give that ring to a Lantern of a different Corps that'd be more familiar with the tech. | |

| I'm pushing Angelica to the point of being a bit more off to the side as well. I'm just gonna stick with Bat-Girl, Super-Girl, and Wonder-Girl as front runners for now...wow that's a coincidence... | |

| Coolio. I've just been working on those timelines. They're not as elaborate as Pryde's but they're really just meant to cover the transition from continuity to this time period. | |

| So the leaders of the new Justice League-esque group would be Amazon, Morningstar, and Batman? Or would Superman still be in there? | |

| I figure Amazon is like the Wonder Woman of the time so presently Wonder-Girl would serve more of a Donna Troy role and be a less up-front character.
It took me until now to realize that Superman and Batman's mothers were both named Martha. That's...another pretty big coincidence

| Could bring back Clue since he's basically The Joker without the gimmick. Then he could kill someone important to Bats. | |
