Precursors

"Not scared are ya William?" Frank chuckled moving towards Sparta.

"No, or course not" William said

"Good." Frank said stopping. "Alright, come out." He said to the Spartans in cover.

Alexis stepped out "Make one wrong move and it'll be your last. Speak quickly and clearly- Who are you with?"

Frank sized her up and he took his hand from the grip on his CAR-15 showing he wasn't going to start a fight. "Captain Frank Miller, United States Marine Corps here on behalf of the CIA, this is Captain William Wisdom of the British Royal Marines."

Alexis raised her had for her men to stan down "Alexis, follow me."

Frank nodded following after her.

Alexis lead them through the forest to the training grounds.

"Well isn't this..." William said

"Yes it is" Aetos said walking towards them "And if alexis has brought you here it means she trusts you and so do I. Welcome to Sparta, the true Sparta. This is where we train our boys to become men"
Alexis glanced over at him clearing her throat.
"And some of our women."

Frank walked over to Aetos extending his hand. "Frank Miller."

He took his hand shaking "Aetos Leandros. I am leader of this country."

Frank shook his hand and nodded. "Well you're country is in trouble, the Soviets are gonna be hitting this place with a huge force soon. The US wants to help."

"You mean those so called soldiers we took care of" Aetos said "we are prepared for them."

Frank shook his head. "Those were conscripts and a few commandos, just a test for your defenses, wait until entire armored divisions are rolling down here. The United States wants to assist you, and wants to hire you personally for something."

"They are an invading force on foriegn lands, the advantage is ours. It doesn't matter how many many and
machines they send, Sparta will prosper." Alexis said
"Leonidas and his men shared the same advantage agaisnt the Persians and we all know how that battle ended" Aetos said "We will gladly take any aid you offer."
"But they're outsiders" Alexis argued "We've never...."
Aetos cut her off with a look "I am leader, the decision is mine to make and I have made it. Any who disagree may leave now but if you do, you will not be welcomed back."


"Wow, a bit harsh isn't he" William whispered to Frank. "Glad he's not my king."

"You have a Queen." Frank said to William. "Call Hudson and tell him to send in the Marines." He looked to Aetos. "Now after we defeat the Soviets we need to talk about something."

"Of course" Aetos said


William nodded contacting Hudson

Frank nodded. "I feel sorry for Ivan now." He smiled.

Hudson was on the USS Enterprise and he answered the radio. "Yes Knight...I assume you and Patriot made contact?"

"Yeah, we've made contact. He's accepted the offer" William said


"Not sure who Ivan is but if he is among the soldiers coming then he won't be leaving" Aetos said "Now, what kind of forces are with you?"

Robert nodded. "Great, I'll begin sending over the reinforcements."

Frank chuckled. "Ivan is the name we use for the Soviet military. We'll be landing the 1st Marine Expeditionary Battalion, mainly infantry but we'll have decent armored support, and we have a carrier out at sea so we'll have air support from jets and helicopters. We'll be outnumbered though two to one."

"Not a problem" Aetos said "Alexis was right about one thing, we do know this terrain better than them and we can use that to our advantage."


"we'll be waiting" William said

"That's a given, homefield advantage." Frank nodded.

"See you soon." Robert said ending the comm.

"Exactly" Aetos grinned.

Frank smiled and he looked up seeing several UH-1 Iroquois "Huey" helicopters flying over head to land Marines and CH-46 Sea Knights had some M80 Patton tanks hung up to bring them in. "Here come my boys."

Robert looked down at Frank, William, and the Spartans. He was in tiger stripe camo like Frank.

"They can land in the yard" Aetos said "That's the best place for them."

"Well I dunno about that. They're gonna land where there's room." Frank said as Robert's Huey landed near by.
