I don't mind, I'm not gonna go watch it anyway. And I personally never expected it to be anything in the lines of 'Avengers great', but I have to admit to not predicting that it would get so panned.

I still plan on seeing it, next weekend. I don't have high hopes for it, but I want to see for myself if it is really worth all this negativity. Plus, my nephew wants to go see it and I did tell him I'd take him. This is already being called the worse cbm ever, even worse than Batman and Robin. For me, there are only three super hero/cbm movies that I will simply never own- Superman Returns, Punisher Warzone and Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengence. None of those didn't do anything for me, they didn't wow me, didn't make me excited to see more. I came away from them feeling a bit disappointed, I'm expecting the same from this Fant4stic movie.

I hear it's supposed to be a pretty gruesome movie.

Spirit of Vengence had a couple of neat scenes but that was about it. Everything else was laughable.

I've heard that it kind of starts out pretty decent then starts to go to hell. Trank says he had a great version of the movie that would've done well, I'm guessing this isn't that version. There are reports all over of trouble with Trank on set and Fox meddling a lot with the filming. I think it's a combination of both because Fox did choose Trank to bring this movie to life and then apparently didn't think he was doing a good job so decided to intervene. All that adds up to a movie that probably should have been the perfect superhero/cbm movie to end the summer turning into the movie that very well might usher in the end of the comic book movie genre (or at least that's what some people believe)

Those people are blowing it vastly out of proportion. The movie's greatest sin, truly, is just that it's boring. It isn't some monstrosity and most of the world will probably forget about it by next year. It isn't going to bring full stop to the superhero movie era.

Sorry I've been here but not doing much. Not only has uni been stressed I can't get on my computer because I've been laying down the last few days with a bladder infection.

Oh dear, I've heard that they ignored so many key points about the fantastic four that fans of marvel felt they just made up a completely new story and copied the powers and names.

haven't seen it yet but from what I can tell the only thing they really changed from the comics was making Sue adopted but they had to do that if they wanted to keep Sue and Johnny as brother and sister since they changed the race of the Storms. Sadly though I think Fox didn't realize all that they have done but doing that because now there are questions I'm not sure the movie answers like who and where are sue's real parents?

No, they changed a LOT of stuff. Most of it revolving around the involvement of Sue and Doom.

I thought they took alot of it from the ultimate fantastic four

I went into the Fantastic Four movie with low expectations and discovered that it was surprisingly better than what I've been hearing. Sure it had it's flaws and inconsistencies but I actually did enjoy it even with it's flaws. I wasn't sold on Doom's look, in my opinion it looked more like Annihilus than Doom. I would've liked to see more about their lives, there is no character development. There are too many questions not answered by this movie.

Have to pass on to you guys that I've been unwell for the past ten days. Originally I though hip injury but it wasn't the case and then as it got worst I was then told bladder infection. I went back earlier this week but saw a different doctor who told me the original diagnosis was incorrect. Then I went to the hospital

Now it might be perfectly fine as I've had a urine and blood test done which were both resulted as good. That rules out in their opinion appendix, kidney and bladder. The big one that's on the cards is gallbladder.

Have your fingers crossed for poor mel. Hopefully if it is bad then it'll be a quick op and I'll be back on my feet.

Have to start learning how to put a 1 instead of a 0, I only have a about a week or so, pryde's is within the week.

Also there'll be a weekend in December where I won't be on but I'll be keeping in touch. I play quidditch in my spare time and my team is heading to the national tournament, first team for south australia so very excited
