Guardians

"Hey, what exactly is this anti virus supposed to do again?" Roland asked

"Eliminate the infection."

"Seems to be doing more than that" Carol said "I think they're dieing."

Cassandra sighed. "Damn it..."

Stephen watched the Infected drop around him with the machines. "Alright, just the clean up to handle"

"There was no choice around it.", Thomas told the girls. "You guys stopped it."

James came walking up. "Looks like it's over."

Carol and Randall made thier way back to the girls joining them. "Gen. Rodgers says we're clear. They're doing clean up right now."

Cassandra nodded. "Good. It's finally over..."

Carol nodded "A shame so many have lost their lives."

James nodded. "At least we won."

"True" Carol nodded

Steve watched as the bodies of the infected were thrown into piles and burned.

Thomas helped the girls up. 

"It didn't go the way we had planned it, however.", Cassandra said.

James put his arm around her. "Look at it this way, even though they died, you guys set them free. They're not monsters anymore, they're at peace."

Cassandra nodded. "You're right... I suppose that's for the best."

"Hey, you saved my ass." James smiled. "I was running low on ammo."

"Saved all of our asses. Especially the sweet one's.", Thomas smiled pulling Misato close.

Cassandra smirked a bit and then smiled kissing James. "Then it was worth it."

Misato smiled and giggled taking her arms around his neck.

James smiled kissing her back. "Yeah I'm enjoying it so far."

Thomas smiled and leaned down kissing Misato as Sarah joined the group.

Cassandra smiled kissing him. "Good!"

James smiled kissing her taking his hand though her hair.

Misato smiled kissing him back.

Cassandra smiled kissing James leaning into him.

Thomas smiled kissing Misato. "Time to leave?"

James smiled picking Cassandra up. "Let's go home."

Misato nodded. "Yes it is."

Cassandra smiled and held onto James. "Good idea. No more tents."

Thomas nodded and smiled heading to the transport with Misato.

James smiled walking out with his beauty in his arms. "No more tents. No more running."

Misato smiled holding his hand heading out.

"That's what I like to hear.", Cassandra smiled up at him.

"I don't mind the tents.", Sarah said and smiled at Andreas.

Thomas smiled holding her hand before picking her up as they got onboard.
