Haven City

Syn turned looking Ashleigh and he raised his fist to slam it down on her as The Shadow appeared and he grabbed Ashleigh and dove with her evading the blow, his powers now negated he got up and started running while firing at Syn, it was useless but it distracted him from Ashleigh.

Obelisk flew at Syn firing a series of blasts at him.

General Miller stood in his command center a few miles away watching the group of heroes fighting Syn, his troops had pulled back creating a perimeter and evacuating the surrounding areas.

Ashleigh let out a slight squeal as she was grabbed from harm's way, "Okay, God... I think I get the message now...stop trying to look for an easy way of joining you. No offence, but I like it better down here," she muttered under her breath. She saw that she was blocking The Shadow's powers and nodded retreating from the battle resting herself against a building wall panting hard. Hopefully her apparent friend will have his powers restored now that she was out of distance from him.

A Squad of Marines from the 'Specials Corps' moved down the alley to Ashleigh they were different from Regular Marines being armed with more advanced weapons. The Corporal leading the fire team knelt down to her. "Ma'am we need to move you from the battlfield."

Ashleigh sighed, "Okay, I get it... the fight's over for me. I'm cool with that." She skittled from the touch of one of the soldiers, "Your arm's hurt."

She looked down and shook her head removing her grapple gun from her waist belt, "Nope, it's actually broken... but good luck with him," and fired at the roof of the opposite building. She lifted herself over the ledge and rested against the fan, thankful that while she couldn't fight, she could watch from a distance.

The Marines watched as she grappled away. "Whatever, we've got orders." The Corporal said as he led his fire time into a building setting up a large weapon on a tripod.

Obelisk and The Shadow were trying to hold off Syn, but were getting no where, they needed help and fast.

"What the hell is that thing?", Arthur yelled.

"Hell if I know." A Marine from the Special Corps said as he and some others set up a weapon system.

Obelisk was punched through a building coming out on the otherside hard.

Arthur made his way up a smaller building and saw Syn.

Syn looked up at Arthur as he was hit with a missile from a Marine using a AT-4.

Arthur looked away from the explosion and saw Syn still standing.

Syn was scanning Arthur ignoring the fire he was taking from General Miller's Marines.

Obelisk landed next to Arthur. "So...any good ideas?"

"None what so ever... although we should really try to see if it can be hindered."

"Yeah, nothing seems to be working." Obelisk said. "The Police got man handled, the National Guard and Marines aren't faring much better...and we haven't been able to touch it."

"I'll give it a shot then", Arthur said. "It's been looking at me for a while now."

"It's scanning you, did the same to me and the others." Obelisk said as Syn crouched then rocketed itself up into the air jumping at them.

Arthur dashed to the side to avoid him.

Obelisk teleported out of way sending a blast at Syn as he appeared again.

Syn took the blast and went at Arthur throwing another powerful punch.

Arthur dodged it swiftly and sent a punch back at him.

Syn caught his punch and threw Arthur back at Obelisk.

Arthur grunted a bit. "He's fast"

"Very fast...and very strong." Obelisk said.

Syn looked at them then pounced at them punching Obelisk away before kicking at Arthur.

Arthur let the kick go through, his insides stretching. He took the change to punch him.

Syn took the hit and then back fisted Arthur hard.

Arthur grunted bouncing back in recoil, punching him again.

Syn looked at Arthur as he got punched and he grabbed Arthur slamming him down through the roof.
