I was watching Doom earlier and it got me to thinking we could do something like that in the JLA rpg. Something where each member is neutralized in some way allowing for one individual or a group of villians to move on with their own larger plan. I figured we have enough Batman type characters that any one of them could develop contingencies for every member of the JLA should they go bad or go rogue.

Sure. It'd make sense after what just happened with the Superman problem. Most of mine have left the JLA so I've got Wonder Woman, Zita Zatara, and Hawk-Girl.

Can do this whenever. Nothing going on right this minute, I don't think. All I, personally, am doing at the moment is setting up a Lantern Corps RP.

Who's gonna be the one to kinda break the cycle? I know the movie had Cyborg be the one. Not sure I remember who it was in the comic, unless it was just Batman. I know in the comic it was Ra's, not Vandal Savage (which makes more sense, honestly). Guess it makes sense to know who all is in the League at the moment. That'd be Superman, Batman (Joseph?), Wonder Woman, The Flash, Amazon, Morningstar (if this is after his return), Martian Manhunter, Green Arrow, Captain Atom, Aquaman, Zita, Red Tornado, and Hawk-Girl. Miss anyone?

I was planning to do a sort of Crisis on Two Earths with Sovereign being at the center of it, but I haven't worked out the details of that yet, so I was just gonna have that be further down the line.

We could make it be someone not part of the league. I've got a few that I would like to join the league taht are still not official members. As for members, I'm pretty sure that list is good for the team.

Cool. Was gonna see about the Atom and Giganta being added at some point. They can help.

awesome. First thing to figure out though is whose plans are they following?

Well, who all are the most strategically inclined and would be most likely to see the need for such plans?

On the team- Batman and Nightwing come to mind. Outside of the team Talon and 8Ball.

The current Batman doesn't really seem the type to do that. Joseph is a little more outwardly trust oriented than purely practical. And no one knows where Derek is. Could be Talon, but seems like it'd be a better idea to have it be someone who's at least spent time with the JLA. 8-Ball seems the best option.

I also think it'd be neat if maybe the plans came from Superman. After the business that just went down, maybe he sees a need to neutralize himself and the rest of the Justice League if something happens. Or maybe the plans could have come from the Superman clone. Because he was clearly ready to bring everyone down around him if they happened to... disagree.

I like the superman twist and maybe he seeks someone outside of the league to help with those plans. 8ball has had some to do with the league but mostly has been an outside observer, watching the team. 

Talon might not ever be part of the league even if he takes over as batman but he sees the reason for them to be there since he's formed his own team, though they deal mostly with low level threats where as the league deals with world ending threats. 8Ball thought thinks the team could be more proactive so might form his own team of Outsiders to do just that. A team that instead of reacting to an event is out to prevent the event.

I see. Well, tis up to you. Who'd be the villain?

we could use one of our own or make a new one. Zeitgeist or Savage (one of my villians) could work.

'Kay. And the recruited villains to help said ring leader out?

whoever we want to throw in there. The most logical would be one's that have a grudge or something against the one they're targeting.

Well, for mine I can think of possibly Klarion the Witch Boy or Etrigan (Zita), Calypso or Circe (Wonder Woman), and Obsidian (Hawk Girl)

whichever ones you'd want to use would work.

I think the orginator of the plan has to come form inside the team for the impact to really be felt by the rest of the team. If it's someone outside it would seem like the rest of the world doesn't trust them. I guess either could turn out to be a good story with different ending reactions.

Yeah, that was more or less where I got the idea for it to be Superman.

I think Cole making up the plan would be a nice touch. He's seen what he could have done and doesn't want it to happen again.
