Precursors

"By whom?" The Commander asked.

"Son of a...he's telling them our plans." Robert said reading their lips.

"A small group of men" Aetos said "Two Americans, a Brit and one of my own. One of the Americans has been here before and is familiar with the land, but not as familiar as the locals."

"It has to be a trick" Alexis said in disbelief

Frank grunted. "Let's just move."

"We'll deal with him when and if the time comes." Robert said.

William nodded following

Robert looked at Alexis. "You coming?"

"Yes" Alexis sighed

Frank moved through the brush.

The Commander looked at Aetos. "Come with me."

Aetos nodded following.

The Commander got into a truck with Aetos and several Speznatz soldiers as it drove off. The Commander got on the radio speaking Russian.

Aetos sat back listening

The truck pulled up to small base well hidden in the jungle and the Commander got out. "Get out." He said.

Aetos climbed out "This isn't the weapons base is it? So, what'd your boss say to do with me?"

"This is outpost." The Commander said. "Now come, you speak with her."

"Not a problem" Aetos said smiling a bit

The Commander escorted Aetos inside with several Russian Spetsnatz soldiers meeting with Natasha. "So you're the Greek?"

"If you want to call me that" Aetos shrugged "Are you the commander?"

"No, but I'm as high up as you will get." Natasha said. "You say our base will be attacked? How do you know this?"

"Because I came here with the one's going to attack" Aetos said "I split with them a few hours ago and figured you'd like to know about this, for a fee of course."

Natasha looked at him and rolled her eyes. "What's to stop us from just shooting you here? You're in no position to demand things."

"Go ahead" Aetos said "but I can tell you where they'll most likely attack from and what weapons they're carrying."

"If they are American which they are most likely to be then the standard loadout for a US Special Forces soldier is what they carry, with some weapons possibly picked up from any Vietnamese resistance they have encountered." Natasha said.

"Sounds about right" Aetos nodded "but they did pick up a few things from my home."

Natasha chuckled. "I'm sure whatever came from Sparta they can handle at the base."

"You're probably right" Aetos said "guess that makes me dispensable and yet I'm still alive."

"Because we are having a coversation, be a bit rude for me to just kill mid sentence would it not?" Natasha said.
