James nodded. "Sounds good, think I could use a vacation too."

"We'll take one together then" Keith smiled "Go do some hunting or something."

"I just want to lay on a beach and drink." James said. "Heard enough guns for a while." He said.

'That sounds like a better plan" Keith chuckled

"She came along too" Jill said seeing Kara "you know, I didn't notice it before but she kind looks like you Carol."

Carol and Kara looked at each other for a few seconds. "Heh..." They said in unison.

James nodded and lit himself a cigarette. "So, I guess I can start growing a beard now."

"If you want" Keith said "but don't get used to it."

"Okay then" Jill said looking between the two.

"I think I could get used to it." James said looking out at the water. "Haven't grown my hair out in a while either."

"Weird..." Jessica said to Jill.

"So, what's been the situation here?" Kara asked.

"I know" Jill whispered back.

"Can worry about all that later" Keith said "How much longer before we set off?"

"Not long." James said. "Stark has the shuttle ready to launch at NASA."

Jessica nodded. "Clones man..."

"I don't think she's a clone" Jill said

"Good"

"I know, I'm just saying." Kara said.

James nodded. "So how was Europe? Heard we scored a victory."

"Yeah a big one" Kieth said looking over at Kara "couldn't have done it without her."

"Right, so what's your story" Jill asked Kara.

James looked over at Kara. "So, you made your move yet?"

"Just a soldier." Kara said. "I want my shot at Obelisk like all of you."

"No" Keith said looking down "I had several chanced but just fumbled them."

"Ahh, well I'm not a soldier and I don't really want to go after Obelisk" Jill said "not as bad as the others here."

James patted him on the back. "Well we have to fix that."

Kara nodded. "Well you're still here."

"Great, just what I need" Keith sighed "love advice from you. You know I never used to have problems with women before these last few years."

"I'm here for my friends and family" Jill said

James sighed. "Yeah I guess I am kinda shitty at this whole love thing...oh well." He shrugged. "I can get you laid though."

Kara nodded. "As good a reason as any." She said.

"That is one thing you never have a problem with" Keith smiled "getting women into bed."

"What about you, got any family back in Latveria"

James nodded. "I can only get you that far."

Kara nodded. "Yes, my mother and father are back home. Thankfully they've retired to the country and have avoided the war."

"Just help me talk to her" Keith said

"My folks are back home too" Jill said

(I still plan on having Keith get James' discharge changed but I think it's something that will be done behind the scenes. Like when we do the jump it could be brought up in a conversation between Keith and James. K: Still think you should've came back to the corps. J: Told you why I can't but thanks for what you did even though I still don't know how you did it. K: Like I said before don't ask me just be grateful I was able to pull it off for you. or something along those lines)

James smiled. "I can do that, what's the problem?"

Kara nodded. "That's good, so I hear you're a model."

(Yeah that could work. After the jump I'm gonna have James become a more gruff/weary character, especially after the rescue from Madripoor)

"When I'm not busy saving the world" Jill smiled

"I can't talk to her" KEith said "not normaly I mean. Missions, briefings, battle strategy,... things like that no problem but everday conversations, tongue gets tied and awkward silence."

Kara smiled. "Ahh so just a part time gig then."

James nodded. "Hmm, never happens to me. Sounds like ya just need to relax though."

"Right now it is" Jill said


"You make it sound so easy"

"Well you don't have any trouble talking to other women do you?" James asked.

Kara nodded. "Well let's end this so you can get back to the runway."
