| I think it'll be a good movie. Probably won't live up to the hype but hey as long as it's not Superman Returns. | |

| Hype? I've yet to see/hear any hype around it beyond one sites dedicated to superhero movies. The main source of hype I've been hearing is the association of Christopher Nolan on the title. | |

| It's a Superman movie, people see that and expect certain things, and I've heard plenty of hype because of Nolan's attachment and Snyder as director. Most people expect it to be awesome, I don't know if it will but I think it'll be a good superhero movie. | |

| Most around where I am are sheer skepticism. Due, in large part, to the last three Superman movies being...Lackluster...to say the least. I don't know. I like Superman and all but I maintain a steady skepticism until he proves to dish out something redeeming. Being that I generally like Superman over Batman in many regards, I have hopes. | |

| Superman and Superman II weren't awful, they were good movies for their time. Superman III, Supergirl and Superman IV I never saw or really care to see. Superman Returns was bad, everyone knows that.
Batman hasn't been always amazing either in film, Batman Forever and Batman & Robin are just ugh. Once Tim Burton was replaced and Keaton left as Batman that series was shot to hell. Then the Nolan Trilogy came out and it was great.
So there isn't really any reason to think Man of Steel will suck just because the previous Superman movies weren't amazing. I think Snyder can put together a good Supes movie and be faithful to the source material. Watchmen is a prime example aside from a few small things that movie was very faithful to the graphic novel.

| I'm fully aware of the Batman movies not all being glamorous. But if you recall, I don't really care for the Nolan movies so for me it's pretty sound to say I may not like this series of Superman movies. Superman 3, 4, and Super-Girl were pathetic (I saw those. Yeah, they're bad). I'm merely saying that my perception is...grey. I don't honestly think it'll be bad or good. I don't generally create misconceptions. Do I hope it'll be better than Returns? GOD yes. Will it be? I dunno. | |

| Well to each their own. All I'm saying is it's got some hype around the movie and I hope it's good. | |

| Nolan's involvement doesn't worry me. Nolan's generally a good writer if you look at his other work outside of the Batman movies. This time he doesn't have full reign on a movie, so I'm thinking his script together with Snyder's often incredible visuals and camera work might just be the best thing ever if done right. That's where my doubts lay, since none of Snyder's work have impressed me story wise, except for Watchmen, and I do grow tired of the grey sort of grainy look. Even had Returns had that. I'm quite smitten with the Avengers still and the colourful cast as well as exciting "balls to it" atmosphere, and Superman can definitely have some of that going if done right. | |

| I agree, maybe I'm just optimistic (which would make no sense since I'm a Boston Red Sox fan) but I think Synder/Nolan will make a very good Superman flick.
I tally the Avengers up to Joss Whedon's awesomeness. I can't wait for the SHIELD TV show since he's doing that as well.

See ya man, I wish Walking Dead would hurry up here after that mid season finale they had.

| Well I was excited for xmen which had many low points during its three films. I thought with Chris o'donnel, Nicole Kidman and Jim carey the movie would be good an it wasn't too bad. However I had even more bigger expectations of batman and robin as it had alicia silver stone, arnie, uma thurman and my favourite girl drew in it. And thats my biggest hate- movies with great actors that destroy their reputation and the movie becomes a massive flop.
So I'm being cautious to getting excited about superman and the proposed wonder woman film. While I love Amy Adams as an actress dunno if it will lead her to the graveyard of bad movies.

now, I'm kinda stuck on what to do in Guardians, not the story but where to pick it back up. Maybe Cassandra and Misato are researching the virus in the lab.

| Yeah they could be
and I like that it's a trilogy means we'll get everything or at least most of it. I bet if Jackson had to redo the LOTR he'd make it 6 movies rather than just three because a lot of stuff was cut out. Loved Martin Freeman as Bilbo and I liked what they did with Thorin too, changed his character some but I like the changes.
