Greece

Orion headed to his chambers after disposing of Ares.

Callisto was resting.

Leona rested in bed.

Aridonis was busy writing while Callisto rested.

Orion walked into the room and looked over at Leona. "Just struck a major victory."

Callisto looked over at him. "What are you writing?"

"So I've heard.", Leona nodded.

"Just reports", Aridonis told Callisto. "On the war"

Orion sat on the bed with her nodding.

Callisto nodded. "Ah."

"Looks like you might succeed", Leona said.

"Nothing important", Aridonis smiled a bit. "How're you feeling?"

"Then lets do something about it" Nikkita said

"What do you have in mind?", Nexus asked.

"We try to reason with both sides" Nikkita said "and if that fails we make them see reason."

"Very well.", Nexus nodded.

"Then you take Orion" Nikkita said "I'll talk to Hades."

"Fair enough."

Nikkita nodded disappearing

Alea moved past Apollaine after the battle ceased. Word reached them of Ares downfall and Orion wouldn't be keen on facing Hades too soon.

"If you ask me, this shouldn't be continued..."
"This is war... the only compromise is having one completely submit themselves and be defeated, and the only means to that is death."
"I know... but this war... why should it involve you and I?"
"I asked myself the same question but I fight to gain the future I want."

Apollaine watched her leave and crossed her arms, remembering Xander and heading to him, "It's like talking to a tree... they are alive but non-responsive!"

"You are a god" Xander said "and a young one at that. You do not understand the histories between the elder gods or the lengths they will go to achieve their goals."

"It's not that..." Apollaine replied, "It's more that they're dragging people like you and I into their petty war when they should keep it between themselves. They think they'll win with a force of numbers, but without any concern or appreciation that we're putting our lives at risk."

"That is the nature of war" Xander said "It is the way things have always been and always will be. Nothing you do will change it."

Orion nodded. "I hope so, I want this war to end."

Callisto smiled. "I'm alright, you?"

"So do I", Leona said.

"I feel a lot better having you here", Aridonis smiled at her.

Orion laid back sighing.

Callisto smiled at him. "As do I with you."

Alea looked around as the battle dispersed, to fight again sometime soon. She wouldn't be grieving for Ares, and it might be time for her to leave the battle. Demetrios was with Tyranous in the distance, and they wouldn't see her amongst the crowd, she could slip away and Apollonis wouldn't ever find out she broke her promise.

"You aren't considering taking off are you? Wouldn't that be going against Hades rules?"

Alea turned to see Persephone standing behind her. It was her tone of voice that seemed a bit cold and she went to move away.
"I am strong, and I am smart, I'll find a way to avoid living in the underworld with you. I don't need to fight on Hades terms... for some cruel deal that he placed on Apollonis. I'm making the rules now, and I'm leaving this place. If he wants to cut me down as I leave then that's how I've always pictured I'd go to the underworld... with a fight."
"Foolish girl... it's because of you that Apollonis even made the deal. Even if he saves you now, don't you realise you'll never be together forever? You're not immortal like us. I'm just glad that you are not with my son."

Leona scooted over to Orion and kissed him. "Don't worry."

Aridonis smiled and stood up walking over to Callisto, kissing her.

Orion smiled and kissed her back. "Hard to worry if I'm with you."

Callisto smiled kissing him back.

Leona smiled kissing him then slowly stopped as she saw Nexus outside.

Aridonis smiled kissing Callisto running his fingers through her long hair.
