DC Universe- 2100

Wonder Woman crosses her arms. "I've got time," she says.

"My knowledge of previous events are limited due to my creation not happening until long after they transpired. Black Bat has a history of psychological disorder...", he began and start to tell her briefly about Catalyst.

"I see...well...I am surprised that more of us do not suffer with this. Let us hope that Superman is going through a similar complication. I would rather this not go to a darker place."

"It would be harder to convince a near invincible being rather than a teenage girl. Do not worry. I am sure Black Bat can be brought back."

"You sure know how to comfort people.", Manhunter says.

"As if you're much better," Wonder Woman jests, heavy heartedly. "Sorry. I should probably go and see how far Bat-Girl's plans have come."

"Alright. I will monitor Captain Marvel's activity.", Manhunter says.

"Yeah what's up Angelica?" Joseph said walking out to the Batmobile waiting for him as he pulled his cowl on.

"It's Lorie. She's at the Batcave and sabotaged the teleporter so I can't get there. I can fix it, but it'll take some time. Can you head over there? She's...been off her meds for a month. Probably thought I didn't know. If this is another one of her episodes, well...there could not have been a worse time for this."

"On it." Joseph said jumping into the Batmobile and screeching off. Batman was back.

Lorie sits in her sealed off work station of the Batcave, listening in on communications. She laughs to herself. "I know something you don't know," she says to herself, typing into a holographic interface and booting up a secure program.

Batman pulled into the cave activating several override protocols allowing him full access.

He jumped from the Batmobile and headed right into the armory.

Lorie slips on a few extra pieces over her bat-suit, swapping out her bat mask for a domino mask and cowl. Then she walks to one of the containers in the room. It's opaque black, instead of a clear capsule like the others. Opening it, she pulls out a large bow.

A batarang slices through the bow's pull string and sticks into the container.

"Put it down." Came Joseph's voice.

"It's hardly a crime to hold a bow," she says turning to find Joseph in the Batman get-up. "Oh, you have got to be kidding."

Batman walked towards her. "I know you've been off your meds."

"And?" she says, twirling the bow and doing a few tricks, juggling it around.

"You need to start taking them again." Batman said. "Otherwise you're not going out there."

"Aw. That's adorable. You're worried about her. Lorie's got SUCH a strong support structure, doesn't she? Well, I'll be going now. B'bye."

Batman moved in front of her. "No. You won't."

She looks up at Batman with a smile, then looks past him as something suddenly picks him up.  "Yes. She will," a robotic voice says.  Adaptroid holds him up by his cape and tosses him across the room.  Then she climbs up onto the robot's shoulders.

"Did you know the Bat Brat was really good at keeping secrets?  She found out the big guy, here, was totally fine after the real Batman thought he'd destroyed him.  She 'fixed' him.  Tweaked his directive, or whatever he called it.  But she was too scared to let him off the leash.  Good thing I don't give a damn, huh?  As I was saying, b'bye!"

Adaptroid then steps back and the armor doors shut.  Then he hacks them with an adapting algorithm to override any means of opening them, short of blowing them open.  With that done, he turns and flies off with Cat, leaving the Batcave.

Batman does exactly that and blows the doors open with C4. He walks out contacting Angelica.

Bat-Girl responds from the bunker, just finishing up counter hacking the teleported pad. "Yeah?"

"She got away, and she has a friend. Adaptroid. I did manage to get tracking devices on them however."

"Adaptroid? She- how did- God," Bat-Girl says, holding the bridge of her nose. "Ignoring HOW she brought that tin can back to life, if it's really Adaptroid, then trackers aren't going to mean squat. He'll just find them and block them. I headed to Gotham. Meet you on top of the GCPD."

"Meet you there." Batman said heading out of the cave.
