History 

Formed in 4 ABY, after the Battle of Endor, it was to become the supreme governmental authority of the galaxy. The "New" Republic was supposed to be a sort of continuation of the original Galactic Republic that had become known as the Old Republic at that time.

The New Republic was founded on the same principle that the old Galactic Republic was thousands of generations before—to have a representative parliamentary body govern the galaxy in a fair and equal manner—and it was designed to eradicate the shortcomings that brought about the Galactic Republic's downfall. The New Republic was protected by the New Jedi Order, which was established by Luke Skywalker, just as the Old Republic was once protected by the Old Jedi Order.

The Capital of the Republic was Dac the homeworld of the Mon Calamari and Quarren until the Republic made it's push into the Galactic Core and seized most of the core, including Coruscant. The Republic is still young and is fighting the continuing battle for freedom against the Galactic Empire who still holds much of the galaxy. 


Military 

Republic Defense Force

At the creation of the Republic, the former rebels' military consisted primarily of donated starships converted to military duty, volunteer resistance force fleets, and small number of vessels purchased with limited Rebel Alliance funds. During this period Admiral Ackbar coordinated the Fleet towards the Republic's primary goal: the capture of Coruscant and the Galactic Core.

The Republic has since been organizing their armed forces into a more conventional and standardized force. The shipyards at Dac, Lantillies, Kar Shian, and Abhean have been at hard work constructing new ships for the Republic.

The New Jedi Order was the restored and reformed Jedi Order, in the wake of the Great Jedi Purge and subsequent fall of the Galactic Empire. The Jedi Knights, reduced in number to only a handful, were slowly restored, primarily under the leadership of Luke Skywalker, son of the former Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker. 

The Jedi Order has since been growing in numbers as more Force Sensitive people join the Jedi Order from all over the galaxy. With the Republic sponsoring the Jedi Order they have been able to identify Force Sensitive with ease. 

The teachings of the New Order differed from those of the Old in several ways, and were closer to those practiced by the Jedi before the Great Sith War. Jedi were allowed to marry and have families, and each Jedi Master could train multiple apprentices. Jedi were allowed to use conventional weapons and armor besides their lightsabers, and the wearing of the Jedi robes, while popular, was no longer mandatory. For a long time, the Order was also much less centrally controlled, with each Jedi being given much greater personal freedom and responsibility.

A handful of Jedi who survived Order 66 and the Jedi Purge following the Clone Wars have resurfaced to join with the new Order, such as Davik Tay'lon.

Jedi Praxeum

After the founding of the New Jedi Order by Luke Skywalker they needed a place to train and serve as their headquarters. Leia Organa Solo recommended The Great Temple on Yavin IV. Luke agreed that Yavin 4 was the perfect location. He decided to set it up in the Great Temple that housed the earlier Alliance base. Internally, the Praxeum made use of the four level design of the Great Temple, with each floor making up a step of the ziggurat. Thus, all floors were based on similar plans with small cells, chambers and corridors around a large central space.

The topmost level, was almost entirely taken up by the Grand Audience Chamber, used as a ceremonial hall by the Alliance garrison and later employed by the Jedi Academy as a teaching space. The next level was converted entirely to accommodations for the Jedi Masters and their students; with any extra space being used for storage. On the level below, the central chamber was named the Strategy Center, with the surrounding rooms on this level, used as meeting-rooms, communications and computing bays, kitchens and dining halls.

The lowest level of the temple continued to serve as a vast hangar bay to store starfighters and other vehicles; with a second hangar beneath, plus cellars and catacombs that remained largely unused. Access to the hangar was by a set of ground-level blast-doors, opening out onto a landing pad. After the Galactic Civil War the average ground level around the structure's exterior had risen, so that the main entrance was at War Room level, and many of the students thought of the entire hangar complex as being essentially underground. Although the hangar doors remained accessible, the area in front of them no longer served as the main landing zone.


The academy had many training grounds, equipped with remotes, ASP-19 battle droids, training lightsabers and other technology to challenge the new apprentices.

Students at the Praxeum trained in the ways of the Force, learned to defend themselves with a lightsaber, and studied diplomacy, history and more.

Most of the Jedi in Luke's New Jedi Order were trained at the Academy and learned somewhat directly from him, although most were trained by the battlemaster of the academy, Davik Tay'lon. The Jedi Praxeum, wherever it was, tended to be a base of operations for the Jedi, and often a home when they were not performing other jobs for Master Skywalker or going about their personal lives.

Near the Praxeum the Republic maintained a small base garrisoned by a mechanized infantry battalion and a starfighter squadron to aid in the defense of the Jedi Praxeum should Yavin IV ever come under attack.

History 

Following the Battle of Endor the Galactic Empire was greatly weakened and held on by a thread. Admiral Gilad Pellaeon took command of the Imperial military following the disaster of Endor however many Imperial Admirals and Moffs began petty infighting which hampered Pellaeon's efforts to defeat the New Republic during it's first days.

Admiral Pellaeon brilliantly commanded Imperial forces when the Republic fleet commanded by Gial Ackbar began it's offensive to capture the Deep Core, namely the world Coruscant. However Pellaeon's efforts were again hampered by infighting and between various Imperial commanders. When Coruscant fell Pellaeon relocated the Imperial leadership and the Council of Moffs to Bastion.

Pellaeon continued the war effort but any unity in the Imperial forces was thrown aside as various Admirals and Moffs carved out their own territories ruling as warlords forsaking Pellaeon and the Moffs still loyal to Palpatine's Empire.

Grand Admiral Thrawn however would return from the Unknown Regions and joined his fleet with that of Pellaeon's and took command of the Imperial Remnant. Thrawn then set about unifying the various Imperial Warlords again and killed those who would not follow. The Imperial Remnant was once again a driving force with a goal and it reclaimed many lost systems that had fallen to the Galactic Republic.

The Remnant adhered to the tenets of the former Galactic Emperor Palpatine's New Order, but have moved away from the Humanocentric views of Palpatine's Empire and have also abolished Slavery, which in turn led to more people joining Imperial Military seeing the Empire as a force for Order rather than siding with the upstart "New Republic". 

The Galactic Empire still holds many key worlds in the galaxy and continues to build up it's powerful fleet from shipyards at Kuat, Fondor, and Sullust.


Military 


Imperial Military

The Imperial Remnant's military is made up of the forces from the Galactic Empire from when Palpatine was Emperor. As such it fields Star Destroyers, TIE Fighters, AT-ATs, Stormtroopers, and other Imperial weapons. 

The Imperial Military is a mighty force to be reckoned with, still larger than it's Republic counterpart it does however lack the quality officers of the Republic as many Imperial officers defected after the destruction of Alderaan by the first Death Star. However there are still a handful of skilled officers leading the Imperial military and who will not surrender to the people they still see as rebels.

History 

The Mandalorians have existed for thousands of years and have been known as the greatest warriors in all of the galaxy aside from Force Sensitives. Ages ago the Mandalorians fought what is now known as the Mandalorian Wars against the Old Galactic Republic. In that war the Mandalorians were unmatched until the Jedi became involved and even then it took years to defeat the proud warrior people of Mandalore. 

Currently the Mandalorians have been expanding again, they control the entire Mandalore Sector again and have been pushing into neighboring sectors attacking both the New Republic and the Imperial Remnant.

Mandalorian Military

The Mandalorian Military is comprised of the various Mandalorian Clans, with Mandalorian Warriors forming the back bone of the ground forces. Capital Ships and Vehicles are provided by the powerful corporation known as MandalMotors that was founded before the rise of the Empire. 

Mandalorian soldiers are the best trained in the galaxy and fight with a savage fury that goes unmatched.

History 

Forged by Darth Maeror shortly after the end of the Clone Wars in the Unknown Regions. The Sith Empire was formed to rival and destroy the Galactic Empire. Darth Maeror is speculated to have been a fallen Jedi seeking revenge on the Sith lords Sidious and Vader. 

Darth Maeror ventured into the Unknown Regions and discovered the world of Lehon which led him to Rakata Prime where he found plans for an ancient battle station, the Star Forge. He began gathering followers and took several worlds by force, growing his Empire.

Darth Maeror then completed the Star Forge over the sun in the Lwhekk System and took the jungle world Lwhekk as the capital of the Sith Empire. Using the Star Forge he built a massive fleet and army to combat the Galactic Empire. 

After the Battle of Endor the galaxy was thrown into chaos and is fragmented between the New Republic, Imperial Remnant, and the Mandalorian Clans, making it ripe for conquering. 

Military 


Sith Imperial Military

The Sith Empire's military is made up of volunteers, conscripts, and clones to fill it's ranks. It is a vast force made from the Star Forge and various shipyards and foundries within the Unknown Regions. 

The Sith Empire uses designs that are outwardly similar to those used by the Grand Army of the Republic and the Republic Fleet from the Clone Wars, adding to the idea of Darth Maeror being a former Jedi General.

History 

The Order of Sith Lords is a continuation of the old Sith Order from ages long past. Casting aside Darth Bane's "Rule of Two" which only allowed for two Sith at any given time "a Master and an Apprentice". The Order of Sith Lords followed the "Rule of the Strong" forged by Darth Maeror, only the strongest could lead but there would be many Sith Lords and even more Sith Warriors and Sith Apprentices. 

The Order of Sith Lords is governed by the Dark Council, a group of 12 Sith Lords who serve as advisors to the reigning Dark Lord of the Sith. The second highest position in the Order of Sith Lords is the War Master who heads the Sith Council when the Dark Lord of the Sith is not able and who is the Supreme Commander of the Sith Empire's military forces acting also as the Empire's Minister of War. The War Master only answers to the Dark Lord of the Sith. 

Another very important position is the High Inquisitor. The High Inquisitor oversees the Sith Inquisition which is present all over Sith Space rooting out enemies of the Empire and locating Force-sensitives to be trained as Sith or to be killed in order to keep future enemies from arising. The High Inquisitor is the third highest ranking member of the Sith Empire.

The Sith have been recruiting from all over the galaxy since their founding some time ago by Darth Maeror and many Warriors have been trained with more and more joining as Apprentices.

THE AURIC RAPTOR

The Raptor is the home-ship and base of operations of the Saboteurs. It's a 36-meter YV-664 class light freighter, modified by Kitty in a number of ways. The key differences between it and its standard model are its targeting system, hyperdrive, armaments, cockpit, and shielding.

The YV-664 generally comes with two standard laser cannons. However, Kitty's modification sacrificed one cannon in exchange for a more powerful main gun. One that can fire a short bursts or a consistent particle beam that can shred through shields and make sure any military-class vessel is going to have a bad day. Particularly as the weapon can be fired in spite of tractor beams. To make up for the reduction of high grade weaponry, Kitty outfitted the ship with fighter-class ordinance launchers, armed with Proton-torpedoes.

Kitty outfitted the previously Class-2 hyperdrive of the Raptor to class 0.5, makings its hyperdrive jump as fast as the Millennium Falcon.

The YV-664 generally requires a pilot and co-pilot. However, the cockpit has been modified to require only one. This is largely meant to accommodate for Kitty's dislike of having other people in the cockpit to distract her. As such, Kitty is generally the only one really able to fly the ship because she is doing the work of two people, which she's mastered from years of practice, piloting her and Cairn's old ship when it was just the two of them and Cairn always manned the guns.

Speaking of guns, the Raptor's targeting system isn't entirely automatic. Unlike traditional targeting systems, the Raptor's armaments, barring its ordinance launchers, use an analog setup that resembles a shooting simulation. Targets picked up by the system appear on a screen and whoever mans the guns has to aim a blaster-like targeting device at the target, pulling a trigger to fire.

The last of Kitty's improvements come in the form of the ship's shielding, which is greatly improved over its original model. The Raptor boasts high performance deflector shields of both Ray and Particle variety, allowing it to weather some serious damage. As opposed to the previous shields, which were of lower grade.

The Raptor also sports a powerful tractor beam.

History 

The Chiss were governed by an oligarchy of extended Ruling Families from House Palace, located in the city of Csaplar. Each clan with the families was headed by leaders known as Aristocra who wore particular colors to indicate their clan and family loyalties. Standard and day-to-day decisions were made by a democratically elected parliamentary body from each of the 28 colonies. Issues were siphoned up through the parliament to a cabinet of appointed governors, and then to the ruling families, where a decision made by the parliament and/or cabinet could be approved for action. Each of the extended ruling families was responsible for a set of government affairs to manage: House Sabosen was responsible for social issues such as justice, health, and education; House Inrokini was responsible for industry and science; House Csapla was responsible for colonial affairs, agriculture, and redistribution of resources; and House Nuruodo was responsible for military and foreign affairs. The Csapla's redistribution of resources amongst the Chiss colonies and Csilla was particularly important, given the collectivist-socialist economic system of the Chiss, and led to their relative position at the head of the families, with the others acting in an advisory role. House Nuruodo would be ranked as second, considering the importance of warfare on Chiss society.

Each family was equally represented in the Chiss government, although they went to great lengths to ensure that family identity was eliminated wherever possible. The leaders of the Chiss did not use names, but instead wore colorful robes to distinguish themselves. This helped ensure that decisions were reached in a fair and equitable method. Although the four extended ruling families were not known to face power struggles, five lesser clans often vied for greater authority and power, such as House Chaf, which was considered the fifth ruling family.

The vast financial holdings of the Chiss kept their supply lines running and also provided them access to a number of independent shipyards which they used to keep their vessels on constant patrol. It was through such methods that the Chiss maintained a poacher base at the Etyyy hunting grounds on Kashyyyk.

The Chiss maintained diplomatic relations with the Galactic Republic and during the Clone Wars they brokered treaties with both the Republic and the Confederacy to remain neutral in the conflict. When the Empire arose the Ascendancy and the Empire maintained a non-aggression treaty with one another and later came closer becoming friendly as both governments were rigid and ordered.

When the Empire fractured and the new Republic rose the Galactic Civil War only grew and the Ascendancy opened talks again with the Imperial Remnant and the New Republic and maintained their neutrality. On the fringes of their space they have been skirmishing with a unknown force, one seemingly more powerful than the Empire or the Republic.


Ascendancy Military

The military of the Chiss Ascendancy consisted of a well trained and well armed force which protected a number of advanced and orderly worlds within its sphere of influence. Chiss belief in rigid discipline was further seen within their armed forces and they made use of superior technology when required in order to hold enemy forces at bay. Ultimately, the Chiss saw themselves as a bastion of order in a sea of chaos in their home space in the Unknown Regions.
